HELP paint blistering

    my paint is blistering on my hood and roof. it looks like gum on it and it is down to the bair metal and starting to rust. it looks awful and i am so upset. there is some on the sides but it whipped off. will my warenty cover this and also i have the added paint protector on it. i thought this was to supposed to stop this. somebody told me it could also be bat shit that did this, i don't know.

    Dude, if your truck is an 09, it's covered under your manufacturer's bumper to bumper warranty. Unless of course you have over 36000 miles on it.

    no they are not. it looks like that because i washed the stuff off. there was like a hard substance on it

    Just bring it to the dealership, your truck is under warranty still.

    i took it to the dealer and they will not cover the paint under warrenty because it was done by nature. it is not a defect. but since i have the paint protector it is covered. the body shop says it is from bird crap or bug crap. good thing i bought the paint protector. 1500 dollars to re paint the hood and roof.

    Thats bullshit, I'll bet it is solvent or something under the factory paint. If you don't prep the surface correctly paint will do that and I'm betting it's a problem from the factory and not bird crap. But at least they are fixing it.

    My 09 Taco has bistering paint below the doors on both sides. Going to Dealer in a few. Will let you know what they say.
