I've looked all over the Interwebs, and I can't find a replacement dipstick anywhere for my 2011 Tacoma (v6 4.0) . I want to avoid having to go to a dealer. Anyone know of a site that would have this?

I literally just typed “4.0 toyota tacoma oil dip stick” into google and had like 8 dip sticks from aftermarket to oem for 12-15$ pop up.

And how many of those websites did you try? Autoanything.com pops up, but then redirects you and says they don't have it. Amazon does the same .So does advanced Auto parts . Anyone can Google it, that's not what I asked .I asked for a specific site...

I'm not wild about dealers either, but who do you think will have the most accurate dipstick? Dealer sticks are not that pricey.

You know what gave me a chuckle in the Ebay link you gave, is the box you can check under the dipstick to get a "10 minute call for repair assistance with a certified technician - $14.95", so for more than half the price of the dipstick to can have access to a "certified technician" to help you with this install. I wonder how many people buy these 10-minute sessions?

6 x $14.95 = $89.7 an hour (If they use the whole 10 minutes) and you don't have to get your hands dirty.

I think you are confused about which side of the isle I was referring to.
