Oh damn, I wonder if Cory's truck would ever get finished. It's almost complete.

My taco is down for now until mid-late January. Wife asked me to put it on hold until we get passed the holidays.

He said anything in the shop will be completed.

So you're going to have to sneak out of the bedroom for a "midnight taco snack" eh?

No sir. They caused my water pump to leak and the small changes I tried to make got me enough clearance to move my truck out of the shop, but no way it would of survived and rough driving.

He said the same thing to me, but after all of the hassle of doing the install. He must have known it then. Guess he doesn’t use a jig or a tape measure?

A few weeks ago someone contacted me that he was still selling this garbage to people. They must have made the purchase, not heard anything from him, filed a PayPal dispute and then magically got a shipping notice.

It looked like he made some really good stuff and I was into helping a small business and craftsman. Never thought he’d put out a bad product. I sat on the mounts for so long before installing that I was at his mercy for a refund or replacement. I got neither. $600 is a lot to lose and then there was that god awful install.

I’m sure he has a lot of friends in this circle and I’m just some nobody from NJ, but it’s wrong. DTF Anthony; no integrity.

Same issues here. Sure hope he isn’t still selling them. I’d like to see a refund or at least a modification to his product and a replacement. Shitty loosing $500 and now looking at modifying his mounts or spending $750 on DMZ’s mounts. And that’s not counting labor

Looking at a spare set of Kings- what is the Rod End Length for Camburg Tacoma 4x4 LT? just 8" shock with raised coil seat and a 3" rod end? or 2"? Unsure if its measured from bolt hole or tip of shock.

Current ones aren't cap over, they've got the coil bucket adapter plate on them. Effectively just a flat cap.

Cant remember the lengths of the 3.5

But on the birfield/ CV joint they're designed to have that movement called plunge. And the axle typically has a sort of retaining clip on the end...whether they are full extended bump or droop you want like an 1/8th of play. I ended up counter boring my center stars to the CVs a little bit to get the extra lil bit of travel out of em like I think an 1/8th is what I did. Hope that clarifies

Thanks for the info. The actual length is 19.0625" (from TC). Any pics from your counter boring of your center stars?

Well it's a different CV joint (930) that I used and the toyota outer cvs they use I believe are a fixed non plunging type, hence the reason they use that tulip bearing lobe dealio...so I dont think itll benefit a stock style setup since it's not designed that way. Unless if you went with a rcv adapter flange from the diff to 930 conversion but that'll be real expensive and really not needed unless ur locked front wheelin beatin the crap out of it or a bigger custom kit(mine for example) or racing with 4wd.

Karteck has a good picture of what a counter bored CV star looks like under thier cv joint section

So I don't have to commute on my bike in the rain and can just have a spare set on backup when one set starts getting a little to faded. and also, why not?

My truck is out of action for the moment... I'm having to commute this week to my classes and back on my mtb... luckily its only a 12 mile round trip, and fairly flat. Only bummer is it is forcasted to rain ther rest of the week here, so Ill be showing up to class soaked :rain: (Uber would total about 100 for the week, and I'm already eating ramen as it is )
