Sorry man! That sucks, makes me wish I would have gotten a camera for black Friday. Side note: I ran a crane there on Speer and Grant, those new apartments

Glad you got a hold of @Dacon idiotic post before he deleted it. You probably wont find too many stoned hippies taking grilles for the TSS sensor.

I had them installed at car toys in downtown but then went to the one in littleton to switch out my clifford alarm (seemed outdated and sensors sucked) for a compustar and I LOVE the compustar (sensors are 1000x better, tech is better, and overall gives me peace of mind). The installer in littleton did a great job and the experience at the shop was overall better. I also got their top of the like compustar camera (M5) and am not really pleased with it; it’s marketed as 1080 hd resolution and it’s nothing close to that. I would recommend looking into something else camera wise (some even are cloud enabled) but it functions well (parking mode, driving mode, etc).

I bought the spare lock after this happened and have yet to install my 33” spare as it will likely take some moving/bending things.

Sadly agreed, I can’t imagine this happening back on the east coast but I guess it happens everywhere when you have something nice. I have been getting comments on how beautiful of a truck it is and with all this attention sometimes I wish I was back in my 2002 Tacoma, ha.

I do have a garage and my girlfriends 2018 4runner was parked in it but she has been demoted to the front of the house and just me in the garage for now on. They didn’t touch the modded pro 4runners near by so shouldn’t be an issue for her. Some genious decided to put a non functional wet bar on one half of the garage so we can only fit in one space. I have max of a quarter inch of room to work with by my tailgate, lol.

Pic attached of my rear cam while parked. Always fun fitting a dclb in tight spots....

On another note, I wish someone could come up with a metal/fab piece for the grille surround. I had to buy the part as a complete assembly with an sr5 grille cause that was the cheapest option (which was $425 after talking the parts guy down and telling him the back story).

As you can see, they snapped the grille surround to pull the grille easier. I now have a DBcustomz which is bolted on which should make it harder, but if that surround piece was beefy metal/powdercoated I feel like it would be more difficult to pull off. Scares me it’s really only secured by two screws.

I have also been trying to find a slim fitting black wire lock to secure the grille to the fender or another part but have yet to find one that will fit through the db customz customz cutouts that is still strong enough to withhold tampering with it. If it doesn’t deter the thief at least it would likely slow them down/give my alarm a chance for me to chase the sucker down/give me more looks from the camera. Any and all ideas are welcomed.

Fair, but if they can’t get a large enough opening to pull from it would be tough for them to even make the area budge. I’d rather have them not able to access the area then be able to access/damage my trans cooler etc. My new alarm would luckily 100% pickup on any pulling action which is nice, and it’s very loud.

Yeah, I’m pretty over the front range too, though my time in Boulder and Fort Collins was fun. There are so many scummy people around Denver in particular, and the worst driving I have ever experienced anywhere in the country. 10 years ago I would never say this but I miss Boston and the people there.

Yeah, weed doesn't turn you into a stealing loser. If anything, weed would make you reconsider stealing.

Did you get the grille surround fixed? I was just involved in an impact that pushed my bull bars into my grille. The grille is perfectly intact, but the surround has a crack on it. Are we able to purchase just that piece or does it need to be the entire assembly?
And yes, she needs a wash.

Sorry to hear that. Yep I fixed mine and unfortunately had to buy the SR trim entire upper grille assembly since they don’t sell it separately which is complete BS. I bought mine from the dealer cause I needed it ASAP and talked them down but this dealer is pretty competitive online:

Ebay usually has a few but they usually aren’t in great condition. I wish someone would make a metal replacement so they don’t break so easy/so they aren’t so easy to break and pull off

Damn, okay. I might just leave the crack in there and find one later when it meets my budget
