Oh I’m not looking for headlights sealed with Permaseal to use on my truck. I’m looking for a used set of headlights sealed with Permaseal to practice on, that way I don’t mess up my original headlights during the retrofit.

When someone has some time, could you post a picture of all 4 high beams illuminated down a dark roadway or something similar?

Every chance I get. When I see another Taco I flash them from behind, as I pass them, and when I’m in front of them. It’s Mesomizing!

Has anyone done the retrofit with the morimoto mini d2s projectors in the low beam spot yet?

There is no point in doing the low beam with d2s as the rx350s are better and bolt right in to the factory mounts

Unless you mean the high beam, have them in my 1st gen and they are pretty great for a 15 yr old truck

I guess you haven't seen the testing of the mini d2s 5.0's that were released this week.

Feel like they hipe them up a bit much, have the 3.0 version and the guy said it's pretty much the same as the 4.0 just a bit less width. Didnt think the "extra width" was worth it after the hefty discount he gave me.

The width on the 3.0 is plenty

5.0 has more width, bigger and more intense hotspot according to lux meter and finally a slope instead of step cut off, cut off is beautiful! Also, they now have coated lenses with that blue tint that further reduces glare. I think morimoto actually took a big step forward on these new ones. Imo they look like a really strong RX but with the blue tint lense.

They might be good but still, why put these in when a rx bolts right up?

Might have to do another retro on my 1st gen though:annoyed:

If they are the same bolt pattern as the 4.0’s, I know they make some retro bracket adapters for those in the Tacoma lights.

I've thought about bout rxs in low beam and d2s in high beam but I dont drive near enough at night to warrant that
