Biggest tire without rub

Recently I have put a 2'' leveler on front of my yota and 1'' spacers in back to even everything out. I still have stock 16'' rims and was wondering what would be the biggest tire i could fit without harmful rubbing taking place. Thanks 4 the help.

 

Not sure as I have a second gen but I would guess a 275 series. Had 3" spacer on mine with 285s and they rubbed once in a while.

 

265/75/16 will fit without rubbing theyre an inch taller then stock. 285/75/16 will require some trimming

 

if you had 15'' rims youd be able to fit 32's without rubbing to,theyre a little bigger then 265/75/16's

 

265/75R16...any wider you will need spacers.

 

yeah, some 265/75/16 bf goodys are sounding pretty good right now...

 

I have Goodyear 265-75-16 on my 01 and the left front rubs the frame on a full lock turn.

 

did you have any sort of lift on yours?

 

I noticed this also with my Toyo MT's in 265/75R16. A little rubbing on the frame on the front left side in back with a 2" lift. I'm still planning to move up to Duratrack 285/75R16 in the future, but I'll need to get new wheels as well, but I'm expecting to need spacers and do a bit of trimming also.

oh ok... Im thinking i should be good with the small lift I have then. I doubt I could pull off a set of 285/75/16 without trimming and stuff like that though.

 

If you have atleast a 2" leveling kit with aftermarket shocks/and or 1-2" blocks on the rear you can run 285/75/16's easily with the pinch weld-mod, after a week or two of rubbing out the edges once your tires are mounted you will more than likely no longer hear rub, just my .02, despite the advice and criticism I recieved from others I run 285 with simply a leveling kit and rear 3" AAL's off of a '94 Tacoma on my '03(lined up just perfect)
