That one shows 223 as the caliber but yes, that 338 will do the trick lol

I'm a fan of my Ruger American Predator in 6.5 but I don't have a ton of time behind it

I know you said 308 or 6.5, but a Savage Scout 110 in 450 Bushmaster would slay some hogs.

Savage 110 Hog hunter or scout, Ruger Gunsite Scout, T3x Lite Compact, those are a few I know of offhand.

Remington 783 might be the ticket though.

I’ve been looking at the 783 but none of the local gun stores carry them. Academy does, but they are wiped out because of Black Friday.

Didn’t they sell out (metaphorically and not literally) at some point around states that were pushing them out? I feel like I remember that being a controversy not too long ago

If they don't get the financial backing needed soon they could be out of Biz real soon and do to the deal with the bankruptcy they have to petition the courts for the money to get approved .....

Unfortunately this process is ongoing and will continue. private equity firm Cerberus Capital Management took on way to much and then Sandy Hook came along. CCM came under pressure from the California state pension board whose state laws prohibit the sale of the firearms that was used in the shooting this causing even more damage to the already financial strapped company. What is starting to happen across the board is forcing these companies out of business with State/Local and federal laws.....

    JMO .....

As a means of fighting back, Hornady and I believe Magpul (not sure if any others) are now restricting sales to state agencies in states that limit 2A freedoms to their residents. It is a bad thing for LEOs, but they are making a very strong point.

I'm not sure this action is strong enough to battle the financial industry.

Either way, I fear the situation will get much worse before it gets any better. :(

Yes, this is happening as well and this will be the new norm in the future .....

Beretta pulled out of Maryland for the taxes that was placed on them killing about 2200 jobs and millions in tax revenue....

I recently bought a gift card for a Project Appleseed event next year and I am in need of a .22 rifle. My henry .22 is a no go due to the tube mag so it would need to be a box mag setup.

    10/22 or 795?

Anyone been to one of these Appleseed event?
