Crystal Mountain opened this past weekend, I'm planning to go Thursday or Friday morning if anyone wants to join.

 

Anyone interested in a snow run soon?

Not trying to go to Cle Elum. Trying to stay with in a hour from Tacoma area.

This was green water off FS-75

 

I'll unfortunately be gone for most of this month, otherwise I'd definitely join in. Next month is better for me

 

I'm down. I might be available next Sunday.

Also have December 22-January 2nd off. I need a snow run.

Hey ya’ll, I live in Tacoma. My favorite place to do a snow run would probably be NF-7720 by Wilkeson. I’ve gone about 4 times all in different snow conditions (fresh snow, refrozen snow, etc) and have had no problems on my Wildpeaks.

 

Have you been up lately? I was thinking of going Saturday

 

My buddy was just up there Monday in his beater Subaru and said there was about a foot up by the spot where you can see the port of Tacoma. I’ll probably be up around there or above Carbonado Saturday afternoon. I’m going to be rescue rig for the beater Subaru when they can’t get any farther

 

I’ve never been around that area but it’s closer so I might go Saturday

 

there’s way less roads than Greenwater but it makes for a good day trip. higher up some of the roads get narrow so there’s a possibility for a little pinstriping. Snow also might stop you before you get that far

 

Is there any open spots to stop? Sled or spot to have a fire? Not worried about some natural pinstripes,

 

Spots to stop and have a fire, yes. Spots to sled, not that I can think of. A lot of it is trees and not very steep, and the open spots are usually landings that are too steep. Might be able to find a steep dead end road that you could block and sled down though. Above Carbonado there is probably a little more space to sled, but there’s also probably more people, and not as many roads

 

Ok thanks. I’ll have to check it out. I know green water there’s a perfect spot for sledding and not a lot of people most turned around before it got to deep.
