    99 Tacoma 4X4 manual hubs....

My drivers side is making squeaking/grinding noise when I come to a stop. If I lock the hub the noise goes away so I'm 99% sure that it's the bushings making the noise. The bearings were done a few months ago and the bushings and roller bearings looked fine at that time. I may just need to grease it better and I'm going to try that first. I read through some old post and it looks like no one is making anymore. If I could find some can they be installed without messing up the new bearings....?

Take apart your manual hubs and see how much grease you have in them... Could possibly be that they are dry. If you lock the hub then everything should be spinning theoretically...

I put some more grease on everything but there is quite a bit of play between the shaft and the hub. I really don't want to do the bearings all over again just to fix this issue. I found a "How to..." on another site where they used parts with a different roller bearing this was on a 2 gen 4runner.

Roller bearing Toyota Part Number: 90364-30011
Inner Steering Knuckle Bushing, 2ea. Toyota Part Number: 90381-32001
    They re-used the outer bushing.

I have no clue if these parts would fit my truck.....?

Is there a bush fix for this....?

    Hey Brian,

Off Road Solutions carries the needle bearing and brass bushing. I just called them and they are currently out of stock for the brass bushing. According to a guy Mike that I talked with, nobody makes these bushings other than them. He told me they will probably have some in a month or so. They're not currently listed for sale on their website but will list them when they get their next batch in. https://www.offroadsolutions.com/products/category/drivetrain/

I talked to him today at lunch as well. I sure wish I knew the dimensions of these...I'm guessing the part numbers above couldn't be machined to fit.

Well I've put over 200 miles on the truck and so far (knock on wood) no more noise. I hope I just didn't put enough grease when I put everything back together.

Tim thank you for your youtube channel, I've watched many of them.

Hey guys. I realize it's been awhile since you posted, but I'm having the same issue with that rubbing sound from my front wheel. Only if I lock my hubs. So I have narrowed it down to those bushings. I read that same article showing you how to replace them but I'm having trouble finding the roller bearings and bushings. I tried to put in those part numbers on car parts.com , but it doesn't pull them up. And I'm trying not to have to go to the dealership and get just the replacement bushing. So can you help me find the roller bearings and bushings from somewhere that don't charge you an arm and leg? Thanks a bunch.

Oh I'm sorry but I should have told you that I need them for a 91 4x4 pickup w Manuel hubs. The roller bearings that off road solutions show they are for 95- 2004. Do you know if they are the same size?
