Still loving my tent, got it onto a new bed rack today. No more camper shell.

Yup, just need commitments. I would like to keep it west of the Mississippi as I have different arrangements with work and doing the entire lower 48 isn’t posssible in a short time frame

If we can get 15 that will be good enough

I think a new thread would be beneficial, 95 pages is a lot to scroll through.

Entertaining the idea of selling my tent if anyone would be interest. Its the large version. Used it for 7 nights on my road trip to Utah and that has been it. I keep it stored in the box it came in, in my garage. I absolutely love the tent but I'm trying to free up some funds to buy photography equipment for my trip to New Zealand.
Would be willing to meet 5-6 hours away from north Alabama to make a deal.

does anyone know of an awning that will work with these tents? Kinda wondering if there is one out there that has like a "hole" in it that the ladder could come down through, if that makes sense...

I wish I knew how to sew! I'd love to sew something in under the lip of the tent to be able to do a similar setup. I found his awning photos, but not much detail as to how it's mounted and whatnot.

when I close my tent it has a "gap" between the upper and lower portions that a small rail could fit into, maybe I could rivet a rail to the tent shell and fab up some kind of awning connection under the lip of the top portion...hm...

may i ask why there seems to be so many people who are selling off their tents? are there issues with the tent/reliability issues causing you guys to go a diff direction?

I bought mine because it was an affordable option and got me into the rtt scene. I sold it only because I cannot get into the garage to do maintenance or work on the truck with it mounted. My driveway is steep and it would be a pain in the ass to take it off repeatedly. I would still have the tent if my garage situation would accommodate it.

I’m Considering selling mine, not because of the tent but because as much as i love the hard shell, i don’t really like it mounted on my cab. I’d want it mounted over the bed instead so i can mount my Plano cases and other stuff on my prinsu cabrack. Plus, i kind of want a drifter.

I don't think any are because of the tent. I'd say somewhere else there is a preference issue like mentioned above, or it just doesnt get the use time you thought it would. Right now these are still hot market items so that helps convince people to sell them as well.
