The front is putting up a fight...

I relocated the cab mount and did a 1” body lift. I was hoping to just hammer more to fit. Looks like I’ll be trimming more and tubbing however.

I only have one mounted right now. It will be the spare. I’m waiting on TMI weld on Beadlocks for the other four.

I’d like to run RCVs, but it won’t hapoen for a while.

I don't think it'd be a truck. I love my truck. I kinda want another WRX, or an Integra, or maybe a true beater truck, or an old muscle car project. It changes often, unfortunately.

Well, the real answer is that gasoline is made up of distilled/refined oil. When they heat it and separate it into different fractional liquids. Those liquids are carbon chains. When you hear that gas is high octane it means it has a lot of 8 car bon chain molecules. The more carbons on the chain
    H3C-CH2-CH2-CH2-CH2-CH2-CH2-CH3
That's octane. It's always named after the number of carbons. The more carbons the harder the bonds are to break and the more energy they release..The long chain carbons also take more energy to evaporate so in the summertime the EPA mandates that you use heavier a long chain gasoline to stop evaporation in the summertime but in the winter time they can use light short chain gasoline like pentane hexane butane which would evaporate quite easily in warm weather but does not do so in cold but has far less energy. So summer gas chemically has more energy than winter gas.

Lol no, somehow I got all kinds of fucked up with going to sleep. Passed out at some point woke up at 730 thinking it was the next am. Then slept till about midnight and was wide awake so I got all caught up on my TW reading. I start that job Friday.

Side note my fogs showed up yesterday.....they sent me the universal mount ones (#495) instead of the taco mount (#501) :annoyed::frusty::frusty::frusty: just messaged KC to see if I can get those pieces directly through them. Good thing I wasn't in a rush to install these

Just curious, how come you guys are going with KC fogs over the Morimotos? The LED Morimotos are an awesome light and easy to source.

Same here, those definitely helped but I'd be interested to see a comparison, just need to see @m603holden since he installed his. I grabbed them since they were at a good price and worst case I'd be able to recoup what I spent.

Mostly that KC already had the amber version released. I also think they tested better than the Morimotos in the white. I know that Morimoto just announced an amber version

The amber factor. And just the quality of light / intensity within the legal range

This explains WHAT winter blend gas is... the question is why. I assume it's cheaper for them to refine winter blend gas? I mean, just give us the same long chain crap if it's more energy.

Winter blend evaporates better at low temps, like when it's being injected into a cold engine on a cold morning, and will run smoother in cold weather once the engine does start. A perfect example is from when I moved the '69 this past weekend from the garage to the car tent it spends the winter in. I still had summer blend fuel in it, and it didn't want to start for sh*t. And then once it did start it choked and coughed for about 5 minutes before it warmed up enough to idle smoothly so I could move it down to the lower lot. Winter blend fuel would have made for an easier start, but it's even less stable for storage than the summer blend stuff would be so I didn't want to add anything to the tank.

    Edit-
You're not really losing out, since winter blend fuel is cheaper to produce than the summer blend stuff (the fuel prices at my local station dropped about 40 cents per gallon when they switched to the winter blend). You just have to deal with the annoyance of lower MPG's, lol.

I get about 80 miles coverage . So it'd be tough haha

Ain't that the truth. But when you need it, it's handy.
