I'm sure you've answered this before, what size rivet are you guys using to mount the filler plates?

I just picked my CaliRaised sliders up yesterday morning from their Oxnard warehouse, they look great. Build and powder coat is impressive.
Can't wait to install them this weekend. I bought them when they were "in stock", just like these.

Super jelly. Looking forward to getting my shipping notice.

Edit - Shit yeah, just got the alert that my sliders are ready for pick up also! @n6vmo or for others who have picked their's up, did you have to take the whole pallet or were you able to take them off the pallet? How did you transport them?

I am not sure you have an option. My Calirasied "warehouse"affiliate was a flooring business, not sure they would keep the pallet or not. The sliders were expertly wrapped and tied to the pallet, take them home this way, much safer. The entire pallet fit into my long bed, but with the tailgate down. Bring some tie downs to hold it from sliding out.

They fork lifted the whole pallet into my Tacoma, I unwrapped it at home, broke up the pallet and burned it in my backyard fire pit.20181203_123720.jpg20181203_130114.jpg

Thanks for the pics! Any idea what the width of the pallet was? My bed is a bit space constrained so probably won't be able to fit it in as assembled. I was thinking I might take them off the pallet and put them in hanging over the tailgate with the hatch partly closed. Then put the pallet on top assuming I need to take it. I'll take a sawzall too just to be safe :D

The pallet is all of >3' wide. Looks like the only issue you'll have is the length. Remove the bedding, raise the tailgate and place the pallet on the tailgate edge. Then bungee the cap door closed and use tie downs to keep it inside.

Assuming you purchased bolt-on sliders, you could do a quick partial install in the parking lot. 2-3 bolts on each slider would very likely be enough to hold them on for the journey home. You'd still have to manage the pallet if you were unable to dispose of it or leave it at the place of pickup.

Thanks guys. Yeah the bedding is out. Was just worried that I wouldn't be able to fit it in there width-wise which it sounds like I will. Cheers!

Got my DCLB sliders installed last Tuesday. I am very happy with their appearance and construction.
It was not a difficult task and the instructions are OK. Keeping in mind that these instructions are generic for all versions of Caliraised sliders.

    Some observations with my DCLB:

The 'Long Quantity' parts count for the 1/2" lock nuts is incorrect. It should be '8' instead of '6'. The install actually requires 2 each on the rear driver and passenger sides, plus 4 more for the clamps (2 on each side). A quick trip to Home Depot remedied that situation.

The bolts that protrude from the bottom center of each frame do not need to be removed. They provide no support for the DCLB slider.

The driver side slider contacts my Pelfreybilt gas tank skid at the clamp location. The clamp installed OK.

The wiring bundle on the driver side will only have one retaining clip hole available after installing the slider. Although, one seems to be enough.

I put mine on this weekend as well and I really like the looks of them and the build quality definitely meets my expectations. I also was pleasantly surprised to have powder coated fill plates:yes:. Drilling and riveting on the fill plates is definitely time consuming and I think you can expect to go through a handful of 1/8" drill bits. I wish the plates had more of a positive fit so that there is less guessing with where they go, but the end results look pretty good (minus a couple broken drill bits that are now part of the sliders forever). :frusty: For anyone looking for black rivets, these worked well for me: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00IZN9I84/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

@n6vmo and I consulted before I started in on mine so I had a good idea of what to expect. I ran into the same issue as he did with the lock nuts. IMO instructions for the DCLB specifically would be good since it appears to be different from the AC and DCSB. I also think an exploded view of the hardware and locations on the slider frame plates and a BOM would be really useful and would take about 30 seconds in Solidworks, which I know you guys have :D.

A few small things: It's not clear which bolts the back plates are supposed to go on, so I assumed they went on the 1/2" hardware. It's also not a great feeling to have hardware leftover. I had two 1/2"x1.5" bolts left over, and a handful of 3/8" hardware left over. As well, the holes in the image below are a conundrum. The holes in the slider plates are too big for the 3/8" hardware and the holes in the frame are too small for the 1/2" hardware. I could have drilled out the frame, but I ended up getting some 7/16" hardware with some grade 8 fender washers and that fit perfectly. I threw one of the back plates on the top bolt because I didn't know where else it might go.
    IMG_5283.jpg

Also FYI, some of the clamp plate holes are too small for the 1/2" bolts to pass through. It looks like they were designed to fit, but the powder coating thickness shrank the holes. I also think each of the clamp bolts should be about 1/4" longer. In my case the threads just barely reach the end of the lock nut, but they don't go all the way through, which doesn't give me much confidence in the locking part of that nut.

All in all I'm stoked on these sliders and you guys definitely did your homework on getting the design right. Now I'm just looking forward to banging them on some rocks! I'll get some more pictures when I'm home in the daylight!

I got mine bare metal a couple weeks ago and finally finished cleaning, applying lot's of primer and getting them covered in Line-X.

They look great, but I did end up needing to tap almost every bolt into the Line-X, one by one. I think one 3/8" one had just enough room.

    Please excuse my filthy trunk...

Really glad you guys are receptive to feedback like this. It is way better than being defensive or argumentative and says a lot about your company. And yeah, that’s a size 10.5 next to that footprint. That’s gotta be like a 15!
