PBS\Ken Burns spent 3 years where I work doing a documentary that was completed and released in September. Had to make them as invisible as possible to patients so it took a long time to do. But what really hit me is just how much work it is do something like that.

Still haven't watched it, sounds like a good winter project, but I have watched all the behind the scenes and "inside" films about the making of it.

The amount of work involved and number of people that did it is mind boggling.

Watching our 41st President's memorial, the absolute template of a Man of the "Greatest Generation" We are currently loosing so many of the MEN from our "Greatest Generation" these days at an alarming rate. I was the baby of my family, my father was one of these Men.

I urge all of you, if you still have a family member alive of this "Greatest Generation", Parent or Grandparent, listen closely to their words and wisdom! We are soon to be alone without their powerful guidance in our lives!

Hey guys and gals. What’s a good jack for a truck that’s lifted? I can’t imagine the factory one would do the job without some improvising? :notsure:

Probably a stupid question...but just want to check with the experts.

I am really impressed about how much these folks are on it. There is no dillydallying around, they all seem to know exactly what they are doing and just go about doing it, no stress, no fuss, just really long days for fat salaried arse...
Oh well I will be in Boston this weekend, gunna go to the original "Cheers" and IF i can talk my wife into it; a small pit-stop in the Sam Adams brewery and then maybe the Tea Party boats....

I would also get a pin kit, just in case you need to do some maintenance on it. They are great, but just never put yourself in a position to get squished if it slips or lets go.
Full disclaimer here. If you choose to use it for 'other' items to push or pull, just be super careful, as shit happens really fast when things go awry.... and then you need a pin kit for maintenance :anonymous:

Wish your group would come out to Los Angeles and teach these guys a thing or two. Thankfully I’m no longer on production, I now work off production, but when I did work on, a 20 hour day was quite normal. It’s a crazy business. Sometimes by Friday, you’re going on at 4 in the afternoon and getting off at 10 the next morning. Don’t miss those days.

Have a great time in Boston. Try a funnel cake from one of the guys on the carts. It’s served hot and it was good. At least when I was there it was.
Then again, you’re near beignets....can’t get much better than that.

They are really handy. I carry 2 on my work truck. But a person can hurt themselves pretty bad if they don't know what they are doing or don't pay attention. One thing I have learned is to spray all the actions and operates freely. Sometimes they hang up and that's usually when someone gets hurt.
