    Tacoma is stock | The Pickup is highly Modified
    With my older Truck (91), as a part of the Toyota rock crawling community, we only wave to people that have a truck that is more built then mine. Its a sign of respect, Nice Rig Man.

    Now, If you get waved to (while driving the crawler) you can choose to wave back if you find their rig respectable. I almost always wave back

    I have been following these rules now with my Tacoma. If I see a better build rig then mine, I will wave.

    I sure as hell hope not!

    I live about 20 miles up the coast from Daytona, and there are great multitudes of people on bikes...they wave. I seldom do.

    Then in 2005 I bought a 2000 Jeep TJ, damned Jeep people wave too. Jeep was super reliable, I can honestly say it never let me down one time in the 13 years I owned it.

    I sold it and bought my Tacoma cause I got tired of people waving at me all the damn time.

    I really hope Tacoma people don't wave.

    Welcome to the forum! As mentioned before, in a big city if you wave at someone it’s with one finger because they did a dirtbag move, in the country I wave at most people and usually get a wave back.

    I have not received a single Tacoma Wave yet. I have received a handful of verbal compliments while in parking lots though, most frequently HomCo of all places.

    Used to give and receive lots of waves in my modified XJ. Racecar culture has a lot of 'hang low' hand waves as well.

    Now I only wave to Tacomas that are owned by an enthusiast, i.e. it has modifications of some kind. No return waves as of today.

    there's no wave, but i do like pulling my 17 in front of all previous years tacos and opening and closing my power rear sliding window.

    I park near other Tacomas for sure. Every chance i get. I think there is even a pic thread on here for that.

    Former Jeep owners in Tacos are the people waving at each other IMO. I've waved back a few times but my hand is usually on the shifter.

    Anyways, all angles of this have been covered already, so i'll stop now. Just my 2 cents.

    More like a modified Toyota/anything other than Jeep wave. I’ve waved/gotten waves from fj’s, 4r’s, even xterras. Never had a wave from a Jeep tho, because 99% of the time it’s a high school girl on their phone.
