new wigwam? Really hoping those guys last the winter. Went in there for some coffees and bought a few things I don't need to try to do my part.

Was thinking of the cafe right across the river from BEast. Is it the Green River cafe? Lots of tourists and outdoors people pass through there. Thinking about the fishing crowd, but that is my bias coming out.

I actually eat there once a month or so. I know they have some paintings of some sort hanging up, I think @Kristi with a K has some better photos than what I remember seeing in there though. I think neat photos of the area would be very attractive to the tourists who come skiing and rafting etc...

I eat there when I go that way to fish. Great food, comfortable place. Like it a lot.
I thought her photos would be great in there as well. :fistbump:

You guys are awesome, thank you :)
I am pretty sure I have done my sideways glance/look (which means I'm looking, but kind'a not sure what I'm hoping for, so if I just use the peripherals, then no eye contact, no connection, no commitment) at the Creamery & I am pretty sure they do not. The Barstows thing happened fast, on impulse. My sis showed me the ad. We were already on the computer, so two seconds later I was emailing the owner. No time to think about it.... & I swear when my first three pics sold, I thought some friends had gone in & bought them out of pity.... But I got'a do it & keep it up. I let too much time go by & got all chicken shitty again.... Not sure what I'm actually afraid of, that they aren't all that & a bag of chips or is it really that maybe I'll have to give myself some at'a girls.... Being hard on myself is what I do, so my guess is the latter....
Soooo, all that stated, thank you for the Green River idea. I will, pinky swear, check them out. My weekly trip to Pownal is a side job, splitting & loading firewood. The guy I work for was already a bit of an ass, but he's getting worse. I don't need, nor deserve that, but I do need money. I guess I owe it to myself to see if the Barstows thing was a freak thing or not & if not, it could help soften the blow when I tell the boss I'm done & both things, could be very empowering :curls:
Thanks again & also for checking out the site. It needs work. Crammed with pics going back 5 years or so. Needs weeding ;)

Putting yourself out there is one of the hardest things to do. So easy to talk shit from the sidelines, but to put something you actually care about in the public and wait for feedback can be terrifying. I've always been nervous about things like that, so I get it. Doing them at a place like Cold River, or somewhere you don't frequent yourself might be nice because you don't have to worry about what people think and can forget it is there until they mail you a check!

@Kristi with a K I eat at the green bean in Northampton regularly. They always have local artist's work on the walls, and for sale. That place is mobbed every sat and Sunday.

    Not too much
Is Spoleto's in Northampton still a good place to eat? Or Wiggins Tavern in the Hotel? I haven't been in Northampton since 2004.

Speaking of N. Hampton, anyone from that area notice any changes since the pot store went legal? Not sure if people are over it since it's been legal a few years now and most grow their own or have someone who does... or if you are seeing lots of people come into the community to shop.

I actually drive by on my way to and from work and the place is always mobbed. The first week the line was around the building both directions and every day since it opened they have had the road shut down and police officers outside.

Wow, sounds like the state should get on issuing more licenses. It's only been oh, almost 3 years since they were told to do it by the people living in the state. Whatever, not what we are here for!

Good to know, hopefully N. Hampton is raking in the dough and everything is staying good in the area.

Where’d you find the stats? The initial reports they had for revenue were lower and it was combined between the two Rec stores. When I saw it it was only 2.2 mil in sales, again between the two.

By no means am I trying to dispute, just simply wondering. From I read Northampton was averaging 13g in excise tax a day from their sales. Doesn’t account for how much it adds to the overall economy of Northampton though

Spoletos is still there, I've never been. I'm not sure if the other place is still there
