Finally got the Eibach kit installed. Only put about 500 highway miles on it so far, so still feeling it out.

    The Setup
    From Wheelers Off-Road:
    -Eibach Pro Truck Lift Kit
    -Wheelers 2” AAL
    -Differential Drop Kit
    -Carrier bearing drop (not installed)
-1/4” top plate spacer (for “taco lean”)
    $689 shipped

    From 4Wheel Parts:
    -Method NV Bronze Wheels
    $666 shipped

    From Discount Tire Direct:
    -Falken Wildpeaks 265 75 16 (116 load index)
    $435 shipped

    At Desert Rat Albuquerque, NM:
$529 (install all parts, tires mounted and balanced, alignment retorque bolts)

    First impressions:
Ride is a tiny bit stiffer. Could have to do with the larger 265s, (up from stock 245s). Still very smooth ride. Could be a much smoother ride I’m told, if I had the clips on front struts set one notch lower. Installed at highest setting.

Mpgs took a slight dive, but think that has more to do with the Tacomas super shifty transmission and bigger tires.

See chart below for measurements at pinch weld and fender before and after. After measurements were taken with 265s installed.

Even going with the 2” aal in rear, and measurements telling me otherwise, the rear seems to be sitting lower than front. Could be my eyes playing tricks on me though. Thinking of lowering front one notch if it’s not too big of a hassle to get closer to level.
I did not install the rear carrier bearing drop. There is no vibration coming from the rear but this may change if I drop the front one notch.

I topped off the job with bronze method wheels on falken wildpeaks.

This set up meets my needs: mostly on road but occasional off roading on mostly developed trails/roads.

Can’t believe I even thought of a spacer lift when I first bought the truck. I was naive to suspension at the time. A little research and patience led me to this set up. I’m happy with it and it didn’t cost me multiple thousands of dollars.

See attached chart for lift heights and pics.

I could not have completed this modest build without this forum. Thanks! Shout out to Josh at @Wheeler's Off-Road Inc and @koceguera at Eibach for their advice and help with parts. I’d recommend Wheelers Off-Road if your gonna go with this or any other set up. Super helpful there. Josh was very responsive and answered all my questions. Also got a great deal on tires at Discount Tire Direct.

Let me know what you all think.

Truck looks sharp mate, hope you actually get out and offroad the truck and let us know how they perform. T\I was also looking at Eibach as they were developing a new shock and I was offered them at a reduced cost as I am upgrading my suspension once again (4th time is the charm, should have done what I always do and buy what I want from the start instead of trying to go the cheaper route), decided to go with Kings, don;t think I would have been disappointed either way to be honest.

Got a set of black extended thread lug nuts off eBay for $19 shipped. Ended up getting a set of 4 of the spinning gorilla locking lugs for $15 on Amazon so I guider got a set of 20 for a bit cheaper.

I plan on taking it out soon. It’s hunting season around here and plenty of terrain to hit up. I’ve taken my stock ranger plenty of places it probably shouldn’t have gone, so I’m confident my Tacoma will perform well off road.

Yeah, 4 wheel parts usually runs a special where they ship free, with no tax. Got 15% off the usual price of their methods wheels also. You can find the same wheels over at JCWhitney for about $15 more than the deal I got with the code in attached pic.

So how do you like the ride quality of your new suspension. I am in the market for a suspension upgrade and am considering Eibach, billies, and falcons. The falcons require the aft upper shock mounts to be drilled to 7/8 I think, not liking that option.

I love it. Great on the highway. Very similar ride to stock. Also provides the clearance I need for the not so crazy off raoading I do. It seems to be a great competitor to the wildly popular Bilstein set up, and saves you money. For the best advice on this kit, Josh @Wheeler's Off-Road Inc is super helpful as is @koceguera over at Eibach.

Are these the wheels you purchased? Did you have to do a Hub Ring?

Yeah, those are the exact wheels. Took just a few days to ship to New Mexico from California.

I really like the scs wheels but they are never in stock even though they are in such great demand. There was no telling when I would have got a set of scs 16s in any style/finish, so rather than play the waiting game and hope I see a spontaneous stock availability announcement by scs, I went with the methods and I’m happy.

One more question, how did it change your MPG going to the larger tire?

Mpgs took a slight dive, ~2mpg but hopefully my yet to be Installed shift sense pro will change that. I personally like 265 75 16s. Cheaper, lighter, more rubber.

Curious, is your truck 4x4? I’ve been looking at this kit as well.

Yes 4x4. I like the lift. It’s an affordable entry type lift and a great value in that regard. Definitely underrated in my opinion.
