@dirtydeeds Could you please post or point me to a side by side uninstalled stock vs DDI mid pipe and Y pipe picture. This would be helpful for me to see. Thanks!

Here’s a pic of my mid pipes uninstalled.

    Equal Length Mid-Pipes

I believe these are the same as the finished systems. I do not have a pic of stock mid Pipes tho. Sorry. The Y Pipe has changed a little bit since the prototype system but here is a pic.

    Gracias!

That actually clears up some confusion that I had. I thought that these mid pipes were the same as the stock ones except a different mating flange with the cat delete option.

How do the two setups shown that tie back to the OEM tailpipe sound? The video outside giving a good sound clip of the straight/loud setup was really helpful but harder to get a sense of the sound with the inside on the rack video.

Any dyno results for the exhaust? MPG increase/decrease? I am really interested in the full exhaust with mid pipe.

I have the full exhaust set up including resonator and after about 400 mi I’m getting about 1.5-2 more mpg and I drive hard. Truck seems to run more effortlessly and smoothly. I can cruise at 80 in 5th gear with no problem and I get about 18.5-19mpg. Was 17-17.5 before.

@dirtydeeds can you say which aftermarket cats you would use to replace the factory ones if we opted to buy those?

What’s the collector look like? Looks like a lot of turbulence could be generated with the angles they come together. Have you tested with a merge collector?

Per request could you use a cat that passes 50 state emissions? Or would that be just as restrictive as factory cats?

We do have a cheaper option. It bolts in after the stock Y pipe. We’ve had it since 2016 when the 3.5 first came out. It’s $595 aluminized steel. $695 stainless.

    Call for details. Keith 760-877-4234

Factory cats are definitely the preferred cat. They’re not restrictive. I’ve extensively tested with and without cars and several Toyota’s. The only difference between the two, no cats = less low end torque. With no gain in Hp. Adding cats doesn’t make less Hp and doesn’t slow a trucl down in the 1/8 mile.

On a new truck like this the only ca legal cat is stock. And being we don’t touch the mid pipe til after the cat it’s legal.

Sorry. It's not on the site. I use the 'Dark Reader' Chrome extension. It works pretty well on most sites. I wish there was a dark mode for everything.

    Must’ve missed the question.

Stock is mostly 409 ss. And flanges are steel.

Our system is similar. But the pipe is 304 instead of 409
