If you can ride Monte Sano fast then you'll be ok at Windrock. I raced Monte Sano Enduro last year and that place is pretty gnar; that McCay Hollow trail kicked my ass at race speed

Nice. I need to start riding more again. I was big in to it in college. I’ll definitely ride Monte sano more before I road trip it up to Windrock.

Windrock has blown up the southeast MTB scene and making a ton of money for the park. I would definitely recommend posting up at the bottom of the trails at some point and watching some of those guys come through. Especially since its the offseason and snow has begun at the other bike parks you may catch some pros training up there this weekend

That'd be awesome. I know my dad would enjoy that too since he'll be coming along. Back in his twenties he raced road bikes on the state level and was quite good, although you won't hear him say that. Bicycles in general have always been a family thing for us.

you gonna meet with me and Jeff to go up?

I'm hoping for a lunch time departure from Huntsville for me. maybe tentatively plan on meeting you guys at that intersection around 1pm? that'll be just under 3 hours to windrock and could put us there before 4pm, so daylight for camp setup I believe. well it'll actually be 5pm Eastern...

Are y’all panning on riding the more difficult trails or just seeing as much of the park as possible?

doesn't much matter to me, I'd probably say that depends some on the weather, I'm just along for the ride wherever you all want to go.

I don't want to go pushing and blow up gears round 1 out and about haha! I also may or may not have some sounds that I don't know what they are so there's that...

I am getting Brian's spare CV today though.

I’ll say that I’m not doing any of “the shit” Jeff and Tyler did last time ther were there, lol. Wet rocks and mud will be a dangerous combination.

I really just want to see as much as possible.

That's really what I'd like to do as well. See all I can so I can really zone in on what I want next time I end up that way.

I'm cool with seeing as much as possible. I think there should be plenty along a ton of the trails to "play" or "test" on as people see fit without wasting hours making others sit around while we do difficult trails.

I don't mind a few difficult trails but with it being wet possibly, I'd have to see how my tires do on slick stuff. This is the first time I'll have aired them down since install.
