Do they allow beach driving anywhere out there in California?

Most definitely not. In fact, it’s rare to find areas where you can. There may be options the more north you go, but Southern California beaches are so developed at this point that beach driving is essentially nonexistent.

San Onofre is one of the only beaches left where you can actually pull your rig right up to the sand. See picture below. 34CCB58D-8C44-4B06-ADE4-79D5325C6448.jpg

Second flag stemmed from an annual desert trip myself a lot of buddies go on every year out in Mojave. Basically became our “brand” in a sense. Started with koozies and led to custom hats, shirts, badges, stickers, and now a flag.

Oceano dunes. It’s the only place you can drive and camp at the beach. Must air down to at least 18 psi to play in the dunes though. 4wd a must.

That was the first part. If you drive further then it’s not that crowded. That’s near the entrance.

That looks like New Years or Fourth of July weekend or something. It's usually not that bad. And also usually not so crowded right to the water even on those holidays. All the fun dunes are behind this shot, so the places you go to drive around and have fun do not have campers.

Out along the Loneliest Road in America before a big offroad race. Staging at our checkpoint the night before made getting up a little easier.

What is happening here? He's hard on the gas and youre towing him backwards? Was he stuck? Looks like your truck is about to get run over haha

He was stuck in this nasty sand dune saddle, only 1 truck wide with a blind enterance. It was heavy truck, and the warm sand was so loose, they had to stay hard on the gas just to keep moving. I didn't have the time to swing around, so they just shackled my front recovery point and we GTFO'd out of the bog. We could hear the motor of the next truck coming up on us quick, and we got them to the shoulder about 30 seconds before the next truck came mobbing through.

It was this really awkward bog...snatch...bog...snatch...bog...snatch... routine for about 50 yards.

Drove that from Reno heading East last year. Great road trip. Camped at Great Basin NP.

As soon as you turn south from Wendover towards Ely, you quickly discover why it has that nickname. Absolutely NOTHING out there.

I lived in Nevada, and hiked the desert, long enough to not say that. There is stuff there, just not the same. :)

Yeah it's awesome, did a nice job during a 9 degree snow storm. Figure it can handle everything else. I use this mattress with it - major glamping. Some negative reviews on the mattress but I used it for a week straight in Big Bend through a range of temperatures without a problem. Held air all night with me and my girlfriend on it.
