Trickling in...half of them so far...I’m calling my sources daily and claiming every little bit trickling in before anyone has a chance so as of now, projected outbound shipments to everyone are pretty accurate...

Hey man I meant to ask you this a few days ago on our PM but just thought about it when I read this.. for the non PTS/H or G key kits, how does it work as far as security goes? You start remotely and then unlock with the FOB, enter vehicle, then enter the H/G key into the ignition and drive away? I tried to watch some YouTube to see the process and that seems right? So if someone approaches while the truck is running without a key it’ll be locked, and if they do enter somehow, it’ll shut off when they go to shift into R or D?

if this has already been answer my apologizes. My 2019 Tacoma came with the Toyota Alarm System. Is this remote start and smart phone module compatible with the Toyota Alarm? Also how difficult is it to install?

Don't forget, you're pressing LOCK 3 times to start to stop the engine. There is a reason for that and that's exactly why. If you hit unlock after it starts and they open the door on a push to start, engine stops. If they crawl crawl through a window on a push to start, as soon as they put their foot on the brake, engine stops. On an HKEY, same thing, you've hit lock 3 times, there is no way for them to open the door. That and the settings actually lock the door after it starts. If they put their foot on the brake without the key, the engine stops. I'll buy you or anyone a Tacoma that can figure out how to take one without flat bedding it, or messing with the ignition or wires, just by trying to figure out how to drive it off.

We all have the OEM Toyota alarms on our vehicles. If it's aftermarket, then there is a different approach. The software I load knows this, and works WITH it. How difficult is it to install? your 6th grade child can do it while you're in a lawn chair watching him and having a cold beer. Check your PM.

Even then, can't you use the GPS to track the vehicle? :)

Is there anyway to reprogram the box to where it's just the brake push or gear change? Only reason I ask is my wifes old CRV used to do that, annoying as fuck (I know, it's a little thing, sorry!). Also, is there any concern for additional wear and tear on the starter?

No, unfortunately not. You could force the limit switch on your door jam down but then other things that depend on knowing if your door is open or closed will not act as intended, interior lights and 3rd light for the bed for example.

Your ignition cycles are going to out live you, the remote starter, and your Tacoma. You’ll never use all those cycles unless you plan on hitting a million miles on the ODO...nothing to worry about!

3 more runs to my warehouse to go! Wish I had the 6 ft bed right about now, that extra foot makes all the difference when making runs for product!

My child might or might not be in there somewhere...don’t tell the wife!

If the truck is using the pin switch in the door jam to detect an open door and thereby killing the engine when it is running,

Why not tap into that with a latching relay on an user adjustable timer to create a short delay long enough to get in the truck and close the door.

The timer would allow.the truck to detect an open door if you waited to long to get in, for whatever reason.

Yea the door and bed lights would stay off, but I have them.turned off anyway, and only turn them on when I want them.

I bet some.one on her can find where the to tap into the pin switch so that the lights are down stream of the latching relay

@jayrobot I just ordered an MT TRD Pro. I saw your website says "Vehicle will NOT shut off when a door is opened". Is this a new development? I thought I had read all Toyotas turn off if you open the door after a remote start.

    OK SO SOME MISSED THIS:

FROM THE GET GO: SHIPPING AND LEAD TIMES

Due to the high volume of orders from forum sales, we do extend lead times out. The reasons are:

    - Any unforeseen supply line disruptions, which cannot be prevented at times by me.
    - We clean up all your harnesses, kit stuff, program AND MOST OF ALL...
-...we test ALL your stuff individually on an actual Tacoma. We have one of each, and so you can imagine with hundreds of orders from a forum, its only a 15 minute job, but harness prep plus programming plus testing then packaging each one is about 30 minutes each, and 45 minutes for the manuals. You can guesstimate how long it would take. Outside of forum sales, day to day sales would ship out within 1 day, sometimes same day, and received in 1-3 days anywhere in the entire USA. Now, lets throw a back order that's coming in just before the weekend for the other half of the harnesses, we've got one busy weekend to meet our original promise of all units without a smart module STARTING to ship the second week of December. That does not mean come Monday you get a tracking number. You get a tracking number THE WEEK OF DECEMBER 10. It's won't be the end of the week either, I'm not that cruel. They will trickle out Tuesday/Wednesday at best. So most should see everything by Saturday.
    - People with SMART modules, half of them are in, those are the 2nd wave going out, 3rd week of December. Pipeline issues and limited allocation in the US. I've scrambled about half of what's needed to fulfill, but I want to be fair and fulfill everyone's at the same time.
    - I won't hold anyone's funds hostage, so at any point you want a refund, I am more than happy, but tap outs will not get this pricing for another year, and NEVER again on the smart unit. So the stipulation of a bangin' deal is a little longer lead time.

Because you can get past the door but you need a relay to get past the brakes. Start your car via remote start while in your vehicle, as soon as you tap the brake, the car still shuts off. I'm not going to bypass safety features because my product is validated by the national highway and transportation agency, any "hacking" is a liability to me, and I won't take that risk. That, and my price point does not reflect all that extra time to achieve this (not that I would anyway).
