    So, on the 'pulley rip mod', y'all aren't worried about degrading the belt due to that "extra grip" on the pulley. I would think unless you are super sanding down that pulley at each cut you've now created a sharp edge that will create more grip, yes, but also accelerate wear on the inside of the ribs.

    Not only that but, adding all these extra tensioners and such would in my mind just create more wear on the rest of the pulleys as well as the belt since you're now forcing it to stretch harder. I think the best bet is just finding the perfect sized belt for your applicable pulley size and you would be fine. I dunno, just talking out of my ass since I haven't had any issues with my blower or pulleys or anything. I'm at about 40k on the blower/engine since I installed at about 250 miles on the truck

    Everybody's using smaller pulley's now and belt slip has become a major issue. I'd rather replace a belt more frequently. Increased pulley bearing wear might be a shitty problem at some point...

    Am I the only one running a 2.6 pulley with 69.5 belt and no slippage. No rip mod. No special tensioner.

    There is nothing special about these tensioners. We are not installing them as some sort of be all end all solution cure for slippage or anything nor are they being talked about like they will. The Roush unit is a HD tensioner with upgraded spring strength and the Thump has a reclocked OE spring for an added increase in spring strength. The ARS has specs unknown as of right now until someone buys one. Those are just added perks though, the whole reason and idea for upgrading over the OE tensioner is because of the obvious failures that they have had over multiple members' trucks. The fact they can handle more duty over the stock unit is just another added benefit that you get when swapping out from the OE unit.

    It's like the old saying goes, an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.

    I don't know about anyone else, but I really don't feel like losing my blower at any point throughout my driving.

    If you don't want to run them you don't have to, it's your truck after all and you are free to do whatever you want (or not) to it.

    I'm not writing this to anyone in particular, just in general. :)

    Holds power just fine. Again, I just prefer waiting until I've got proper tuning until I start upping boost. Plus looking into either a 5.7L swap, or upgrading a 1GRFE with a bore out and stroker kit :cool:

    Leaning towards second one, plus Snakebite on the TRD blower. Should net some fun power.
