I can never seem to get to the blog via your site. Anxiously awaiting a link when it’s updated.

I received my files yesterday and loaded today. Very easy process and quick turnaround time with files. Now patiently wait for 105 then turbos.

Just read a blog post from July and found this:

"Our aim is to develop hardware components, and match that with tuning to increase torque as much as possible under 3500 RPM. A tuned intake, exhaust, and camshafts are in the works. (Also force induction...........)"

Good thing I didn't buy an exhaust on black Friday even though I really wanted to.

i received my 1.04r files today too, but only files for ECM and nothing for TCU. Is this correct?

I am sure someone will correct me if I am wrong but I think Mat combined both into one file for ease of install.

Most things are controlled by the ECU. There were some small changes made in the TCU at one point but from what I’ve seen it was nothing significant and deemed unnecessary at this current point in time so there is only one file.

Depends what you mean by a few seconds. It doesn’t take long but it’s closer to a minute than 5 seconds.

ok, my fault. I have overread the "unsuccessful" (it is not my mother language). I repeat it and saw the progress - all good

Is there a way to check to see what version of TSB the truck is on? Went into the dealer for an oil change, after picking it up it seems like my 1.04 was reset back to stock or possibly the new TSB. I didnt request an TSB update and nothing on the invoice mentions it. Calling the dealer tomorrow, but wouldn't mind checking this myself. Any insight would be appreciated as I would like to upgrade to 1.04r, but want to make sure I know what TSB i am on.

HIGHLY doubt the updated your ECM since a good portion of people that want the update are having to jump through hoops to get it and still getting turned down. Doubt they would do an update out of good will but you never know. Odds are they just unplugged your battery so it reset and it feels like it got reflashed cause the memory was wiped

I just walked in to my dealership and told them I wanted the TSB. They did it while I waited. I couldn't tell much difference, but I know it was updated. Verified with my OVT & am on 1.04r. They didn't make any fuss about it at all.

that worked out great for you, a lot of people have had that experience and a lot have been told no, there is even a thread that lists what dealers are doing the update without pushback and what dealers are turning most people down. My point was that I doubt a dealer would do it without the customer asking, out of the goodness of their heart.

I agree, DIY, I did 5 trucks cause the dealer turned them down but my post was in regard to Zackxc wondering if Toyota updated his ECU without him asking them to do so
