I beg to differ, flooring it in 2nd on the highway ramp is a real pleasure. I agree 1st is essentially gutless, but its sole purpose is to get the truck moving from a stop.

 

I actually really enjoyed the MT on the one I test drove in 16. But at the time was stationed in NJ and moving back home to Chicago, and my knees are already bad enough, otherwise I would have bought one, lol.

 

By far my favorite color! I’m so jelly.

 

I didn’t punch it. I just did what it felt like. I can say there is a good bit of difference in the ECU mapping on the AT in this truck vs my 2017. I’m more than happy with it.

 

Quick question: does everybody else’s stereo have the JBL logo on it? It’s my undertstandi g that all Pro’s have JBL audio systems. All the pictures I can find have the little red JBL logo on the head unit but for some reason mine does not. Any ideas about that?

 

It should. Interesting. Do you have the logos on the front door speakers and a sub behind the seat. Wonder if this was a build / QC issue from the factory.

 

JBL was one of the upgrades for 2019 on the PRO. Mine has it, very interesting yours doesn't...

 

I think I figured it out. Digging into the Toyota website shows that the AT has the JBL system and the MT does not. I have no idea why that would be, but it does explain some of the 3k MSRP difference between the two I guess.

I don’t know how I missed that before, but oh well. It’s still a huge upgrade from the system in the first gen 4Runner I was driving for a couple of months.

Soo my bank called me today and Just got pre approval for a loan from them...have an appointment set up with my dealer next week. I’m hoping there’s one on the lot so I don’t have to wait but we’ll see. What’s the going rate everyone is paying? I got quoted $48k out the door.

 

Mine has the JBL.
