I'd argue that a JT Rubicon will crush any stock taco offroad

Front and rear lockers, solid front axle, coil springs, sway bar disconnect,

Great thing about the world is, we can choose to buy with our own money, what we think is beautiful.

I have Gen 1 and Gen3 Tacomas. I never bought a Gen2, I personally think its the ugliest truck ever existed, so I choose not to use my money for that.

I have never owned American vehicles. I am no Jeep Fanboi. Never owned a Jeep. However, FOR SOME REASON, I think the Gladiator is amazing looking, and I will be trading my 17PRO on it, once I can get to the 2nd model year of it. I am at 78,000 miles on my PRO, and will probably be at about 135,000 miles at that time.

I respect your opinion, but I disagree with it :)

You don't get lockers except for Rubicon, not optional on other trims, front swaybar disconnect is Rubicon only. Yeah, you'd have to put 35's on to compensate for the poor breakover angle. And no matter what, you still have a 44.5' turning circle. The V6 Pentastar is nothing special, no way it can tow a 7650lb travel trailer.

    The Pentastar v6 isn't a tow monster, it can't tow a 7650lb travel trailer.

I really cant even place why. I actually like the aggressive almost animal look to most wranglers. Just something about this one really does not do it for me.

I hope you really enjoy it, im sure it will be a very capable truck.

Rubicon, yeah, but that will be pricey. If you can get one of the lesser trims for a buyin of $35k and fix it up like a Rubicon but cheaper, that would be nice. Even then, there's that 44.5' turning circle that can't be fixed up. It's a big deal offroad. I believe the hardtop will be about a $3k option, so figure that in. We'll see how it pans out.

Why on earth wouldn't they offer a regular cab rubicon diesel 6 speed manual?

That HAS to be what the enthusiasts have all been caterwauling for ... Am I wrong?

Nobody wants regular cabs, enthusiasts included. If you look at RC sales they have been dead for a while, thus all manufacturers pulled out of RC market

And the 4 people on this website who say they want RC, won’t buy one if it was produced

Which 4 people? People that want a true utilitarian jeep experience would buy one. Getting high centered with lockers has to be embarrassing.

They should build that on a Ram Frame and a Cummins Diesel.

Don’t forget the CAFE regulations. Two door trucks in general are on their way out for good.
