Hey, anyone out there bought glasses from Zenni or Warby Parker? How was the experience? My eye doctor has insane prices, and I got my last pair from Costco, but thought I'd try Z or WP this time.

Thanks in advance, and GOOD MORNING!!!!!

It's been several years (I need new glasses bad)

But I think I got 2 pairs for like $200

Had a friend working there at the time and pretty sure she hooked me up

Okay, thx. I have 5 pair being shipped to me by WP, in their try b4 the buy program, so I think I'll get a good idea of the quality, at least of the frames anyway. And of course, I could also swing down to their storefront in the Domain.

Zenni doesn't have a program like that, where you can try some frames at home, but I think their glasses are quite a bit less expensive than WP.

Eyewear sellers are like razor companies, IMO; with their obscene margins in danger, due to new business models coming to town.

I did not use the .25" top spacer as I did not know to do so. :boom:

So I should have gained ~2"... How/where would I measure to get an idea of my results?

Also, anyone have any input on my previous comment a out tires hitting fenders over dips?

A little something every chance we get.
Morning TTC! A little grey, but only thing I got planned is go recycle cans in San Marcos, get some beverages for Saturday (camp only!), then more office clean. I think I burned the shredder up. Have to check. :anonymous: Now, I got to go catch up with you.

Hope you found and enjoyed the Hot Rods and Hatters, and Texas Photo threads!

Wifey gets her glasses through Zenni - no issues. The important thing we learned is that the prescription has to be right, because they will make the lenses exactly like written. We had an optometrist who wrote her scripts for a particular shop and the first set was wonky. Zenni did new lenses and only charged us shipping on the recut...but that was a few years ago.

@ChadsPride - be on the lookout. Saw this truck at the ACC campus at Stassney and Manchaca. Teacher’s lot. Gave them a TTC card.

Nice truck - pics don’t do it justice.

I want to say her last set was around $60 shipped, but I’d have to find her.

I need a few more cards. I keep them in the truck, but I need some for the wallet. I swear I can't see a nice truck parked when I am in LBR!

    @Texoma

I don't have any added weight up front. It's a V6 double cab.

I have the 5100s set at the lowest ring and OME 885 springs. Tires are 285/70/17 Goodyear Duratracs and the wheels are Black Rhino Warlords 17x9 with -12 offset.

I definitely have some rubbing at full turn and I probably need to trim some more plastic to help that. It just scared the crap out of me when I went over a pretty good dip and the front tires hit the fenders. I am wondering if that's normal or if somethings up... Any help would be appreciated. Also, I have a set of wheelers bumpstops on the way to see if that helps at all.

When I first got my 285s mounted I almost ripped off a fender flare turning out of the bay at Discount tire. It's pretty normal to need to trim the lower inner portion of the front plastic fender flares.

Ok, do you have aftermarket UCA's? Do you know what alignment numbers you have?
