Side note, I did find a little gold ignit or whatever it's called yesterday after finding a "sketched map." I got a little excited and felt like a genius because I was able to follow the simple directions to uncover it.

 

So much to do! I want to progress the story more, but at the same time I am enjoying hunting/finshing, and want to start trying to find the treasures from the treasure maps I've collected so far.

 

I collected that gun twice, it kept disappearing from my inventory wheel, finally said eff it since I already had the pump and liked it more.

 

I've done a lot of the challenges and have completed The Explorer and Master Hunter ones. Now I'm kind of anxious to get through Chapter VI because I don't think you can explore much of New Austin without having done so.

I've not experienced the glitch. Since you're a trout man (forgive me from assuming from your avatar), have you caught the legendary trout? My favorite gun has been the Springfield Rifle with the explosive rounds although the explosive buckshot rounds are nice too but not effective from far distances.

 

I've never had one disappear unless I already owned a better modified version it. Maybe you accidentally swapped it out. Could always check the gun smith and see if it's there to modify or at least listed as owned.

 

Anybody know how to get the legendary gator?

 

I had my pump shotgun disappear, it wasn't on my saddle or anything. I had modified it too. I went into a gunsmith and it said I owned it so I got it back but had to buy the upgrades to it again.

 

The game does swap out current guns for others during some cut scenes so maybe they just get lost in the mix. Sometimes when shit hits the fan I just mosey over to my horse Pegasus and swap for my preferred guns.

 

Probably forgot to save the game after buying the upgrades?

 

Glad I saved at least one treasure map for the epilogue. Nice to reload $

 

I've noticed that. Wasn't that big of a deal for me. More of a head scratcher and unexpected when I lost it and had to rebuy it and the upgrades.

Keep a gold bar or two in the satchel at all times is also something I'd suggest.

 

You have to complete chapter 5 and relocate camps to deliverance territory before it will appear. There is a mission that triggers it in Chapter 5 but even after I passed that mission I could not get the legendary gator to show up until we moved camps

 

Same. I still don't have it.

 

I have, the fishing and hunting in this game is a lot of fun so I finished up both the legendary animal and fishing quests.

 

You can kill him after the story quest where you battle it in the swamp. Chapter 5/6 I believe

 

Are you 14/14 legendary fish or 13/14? Because even though they all show caught on mine, the final fish(special mission/scene with Mr Gill) is still not caught and rumor has it you cant catch it period no matter what method you use.

 

Ugh. I'm never going to finish this game......I can't seem to find time to play, so I'm barely into Chapter 2.

 

did you finish chapter 4 and into the campsite in murfree brood territory? Once that happened I was able to go back down and it popped up just below Lagras near the U in Bayou on the map. you kinda have to navigate between gators a bit to a little island near your camp in Chapter 5 to see the first clue, then you work back towards the trail.
