Yep, you got wrap stains, you can relax and torment your dealer, get a few freebies LOL or just wait for a few hot days and they will disappear on their own in the sun.

Holy crap, I would have shown those two searches to the service advisor and ask him how he sleeps at night,
then ask for a written quote because you want to forward it on to corporate to show why you will be avoiding Toyota dealerships in future.
That is beyond stealing at that kind of markup.
More people that make this stuff public, and forward the real info to corporate will force Toyota to audit their dealers more often.
"MAY" make things better in future. cough

So I didn’t see this picking up my 2019, it is on the roof passenger side. The dull spot I was able to buff out with wax, the spots are still there.

    Yep, you got "The Wrap".

When I had "The Wrap" and the dealer was stonewalling me, I saw a car trailer of new cars going down the highway looked at the wrinkled white plastic and recognized the pattern. It was at first pretty sure something had been sprayed on the truck but it did not follow a proper spray or splatter pattern and it was when I saw the new car wraps, everything started to fall into place.

I did a lot of research and called a few old automotive buddies still in "the game".

It's an old and common problem across vehicles that are truck shipped vs when they are rail shipped.
Rail cars have the extra guards on the sides so the trucks are not being sprayed with water like they are on the truck carriers ( and "Rail Rust" particles).
The weird patterns are caused by water spraying in from the sides of the carrier and from it's wheels. All the crap (soaps, solvents, gas, antifreeze) on the roads along with the water loosens the adhesive of the wrap and allows this water to creep underneath the wrap and then the wind pushes the wrap back down, and water moves more and gets trapped underneath. Also gets worse when the wrap is put on wrinkled. Also get worse when the dealers leave the wrap on the vehicles in the lots for weeks.
Sun heats and adds UV to wrap with water and crap underneath and leaches the colorant/UV stabilizer and water into the almost completely cured paint.

The max heat setting of 80deg C in the TSB is probably that a lot of wiring insulation is rated at 90deg C. And a lot of plastics/rubbers will start deforming at or above that temperature. And is hot enough to "dry out" the clear-coat fairly quickly. But does not need to get that hot, always better to take it slow than cook your moonroof gasket for example.

In a pinch a hairdryer on high would work to.

Removing the wax in the affected areas may help speed up it disappearing naturally, more UV and it lets the trapped moisture evaporate a little faster even though wax will still "breath". Based on when I've seen it on vehicles, and since you're in Indiana, it would be gone "naturally" in under a week in the hottest part of the summer if you left the truck outside in the sun. Texas, Arizona etc one to two days.

Wintertime on dark colours it will slowly fade, but not completely go away until you hit summer (or a "good hot spell") . In a couple months you will probably have to look for it to see it.

    OR

Print out the TSB (but only keep it handy, if they have no clue or start being idiots, whip it out) and have the dealer fix it and then complain nicely on how could they miss something this obvious when they did their MANDATORY PDI (Pre-Delivery Inspection) as it is an item on the checklist, when an "untrained person can spot it easily from more than 3 meters away in Class A cosmetic surfaces of the body"...
Maybe you'll get more than a coffee and a cookie when in the service area.YMMV
(Take Pics before) But have a look at all your gaskets and seals around the areas that they fixed.
Raise hell if they look deformed or even have a difference in gloss level where they worked.
You don't want to pay for a moonroof leak years from now.

Really appreciate the response, I figured this was the issue from the TSB thread. Thanks again!

No problem, I remember what it was like when I first didn't know, and I'm thinking I have to go through the BS of re-painting a brand new truck makes you sick to your stomach.

Took 15 minutes at the dealership, they applied heat. Poof, spots all gone. At least it was brought to their attention in case of a future problem with clear coat.
