    Yep.
Anyone ever come across wear marks like these in their front diff case before? Searched the interwebs for a few days, didn't find anything similar. Worn bearings was my first guess... no visible marks on the drive gear though :notsure:

Getting new gears and full rebuilds so I'm not concerned, just curious.

I was looking into those. Only issue I found was very limited wheel travel.

That's what I see also, may need a modification but try to find someone who actually uses them.

I almost put those on my trailer. I wasn’t worried about Wheel travel. You don’t really suff tires on a single axle trailer. It just pivots at the hitch.

My setup with shocks works great on and off road though. I don’t see any reason to drop the coin on the independent ones.

    IMHO of course.

I have to replace everything except the axel I haven't compared prices yet but seems much easier and faster to deal with.
Still not sure if I am going this route though.

The independent ones should give you more center ground clearance Clarance.

Probably not an issue unless your getting real crazy. Just something to consider.

If you’re running the same size tires as your truck, and why wouldn’t you if you’re building an off-road trailer, you’re already going to have more clearance than the tow vehicle.

Also, once you put that tie in rod across, it’s way less a factor.

I’ll need to get a trailer axle with 6-lug hubs so I can match wheel/tires to my truck.

    I’ve never done this before.

    Source of axle?
How do I measure axle length?
    Cheaper is better.

    Any help is appreciated.

That's where I can't make up my mind...
I feel as though I'm going to trash it if I take it offroading, minor towing experience, all I see is jackknife everytime I gotta backup.
I am more leaning towards a base camp right now.

id still go with same size tire, no need to have 2 different spares, also can match up with your current setup

I can never remember where I ordered my custom axle. Joe has the link. @Blackout14

Measure the width of your trailer at the widest point the tires need to clear. Lay one of your mounted tires face down. Lay a straight edge across the tire and measure the back spacing (including tire obviously). Multiply by 2 and add to trailer width. Decide how far you want the back of the tire to be away from the trailer. Multiply by 2 and add to last total.

    That’s your axle width.
