@ThomasMore66 I saw in ItalynStylion's vibe thread, you were looking for a shop to get the work done at. Did you ever get that done? Toyota just had to send my DS out to be repaired and they used Inland Truck Parts. There's Denton, Irving and Saginaw locations depending where you are.

I’ve used inland for all our driveshaft needs at the shop. Never had an issue. I’ve always used Irving location.

Let's just call it my 401K.
That's where my plans have shifted to. Still plan on running around the surrounding area also. Maybe day-trip over to bbnp and then come back to the sp for camping. It'll be more trail riding and scenery than 4Lo shit. I've never been down there, just trying to see new places.

how many days would you want to go for?

Well that an average night temps for December and January are high 20s... and day time highs in the low 60s.

Unless there is a fire ban or something. All Primitive Drive Up Campsites at BBRSP have a Fire Ring at them and can have 8 people per site and a three vehicle limit... you must bring your own firewood.

    https://tpwd.texas.gov/state-parks/big-bend-ranch/fees-facilities/campsites/campsite-tent

Here is a 107 page PDF just about the campsites of BBRSP... it is nicely done with pictures and coordinates.

    https://tpwd.texas.gov/publications/pwdpubs/media/pwd_bk_p4501_2059.pdf

Here is an interactive map for all the campsites... with nice markers showing which ones only 4x4 vehicles can access.

    https://tpwd.texas.gov/spdest/findadest/parks/big_bend_ranch/map/

Also... here is a PDF guide called Roads to Nowhere, a guide to unmaintained 4x4 high-clearance roads in Big Bend Ranch State Parks.

    https://tpwd.texas.gov/publications/pwdpubs/media/pwd_bk_p4501_0152k.pdf

I am not an Texas State Parks Ambassador for nothing...

Hmm I thought that place was almost always under a fire ban.

    Either way, that’s cold.

We haven’t been in a couple of years.

Usually on the page for the park it will say if they are under a fire ban or what not, or can just call. But I would be down to go in the spring maybe?

    Good stuff.

If Tandem does another mod day/open house, I may try to knock it out then, under adult supervision.

Hmm. Probably out for spring. We’re hoping to go to Germany/Spain in April, so saving money and PTO will be important .

Yea, that is what you had said... But what fun is Germany/Spain when you have TEXAS to explore!

I need to save PTO as well... I am now thinking of just saying screw it and taking the wilderness first responder course instead of WFA... and that course is a 80 hour course and am looking at one in Albuquerque in March...

And I still want to have 2 weeks of PTO at all times just in case... for reasons...
