I don't say any of that. "You go down the road aways then you take a left and then you'll come up to a right on top of the hill, take that and you'll hit pavement.

I don't think it is, I think it's common in other areas too. I thought it was a west coast thing TBH, maybe more of a southwest thing

yeah it just goes to show it's all a matter of what you're used to, where you live, the dialect, etc..

Having grown up in Texas for several years as a kid, I picked up on a pretty heavy Texas accent that I had until I was in high school. Used to get teased relentlessly for it when I moved to CA as a kid. Used to say "y'all" and "ain't", etc. Finally broke myself of the habit. Then of course as an adult, every girl I've dated has told me "oh I wish you still had an accent that would be so hot" BITCH, YOU FUCKERS MADE ME HATE MYSELF AS A KID FOR HAVING ONE

    No, for you it's like:

Andy: Dwight, I'm a little concerned about some of these directions to Schrute Farms...
    Dwight: Yeah, do tell.
Andy: I mean, like, "156 paces from the light red mailbox, make a left."
    Dwight: Mmhmm.
Andy: "Walk until you hear the beehive."
Dwight: How could it be more clear?
Angela: I think Andy makes an excellent point.
    Dwight: Okay

Well apparently that's what kids do now when bullied. I just got into fights win or lose I made sure to give them a bloody nose.

yeah...I unfortunately went to a LOT of different schools as a kid, because we moved around so much (dad's job). 3 elementary schools, 2 middle schools and 3 high schools...all in different states or different parts of the same state. I got bullied quite a bit for being the new kid and I was always a pretty quiet kid which didn't help.

Eventually my mom signed me up for hockey when I was 12 and I learned to take all my pent up aggression out on the ice, made me a pretty good player actually. Almost went to school on a scholarship for it but decided to waste money on a bachelor of fine arts degree instead. But that's another story lol.

I would of loved to play hockey. Closest thing I got to ice skating was rollerblading in gym at HS. Was pretty good at it weirdly, but I played football. Almost went to college till I broke clavicle. That was fun.

hockey rules, I still play to this day....not very competitively, just in a 'beer league' at the local rink. But we play once or twice a week. Only downside to hockey is that it's so fucking expensive, especially for kids since they're constantly outgrowing their gear. Soccer is the probably cheapest sport to get your kids involved in, just toss them a ball and a couple cones to make goals with lol.
