Oh, totally. There's a lot to do out there, but the windshield tour is god awful.

Not sure man. I asked Noah about it at that tent unveil, and it just never formed.

Kinda glad I didnt have to risk rear ending your rig like 4 times in that dust again though!

We should get out soon. You almost done with school for a bit?

How do you like the truck bed tents? Do you have to put all your gear in the cab overnight?

I cant speak for him, but I am planning on picking up a bed tent and also picked up one of these to start with. Holds all my current gear is lockable and decently weather resistant. Ties down in my bed with 2 15 inch bungees, when I get to camp I can just leave it on the ground or in the cab if really need be. The added bonus is it gives me a gear storage option at home stashed in the guest room closet.

I also cant speak for the other person, but I got the rightline tent, its a open bottom tent so I dont need to pack up all my stuff when I move, just put the tonneau cover over it. But the tonneau cover can act as a shelf if folded down 1-2 parts. Alternately, with a open bottom tent I can build a platform and my gear can fit under the mattress.

Oh, nice!! I always assumed they have a bottom. But why should they, when you've got a composite platform, capable of holding 1,500lbs, supported by a shock-absorbing steel frame with rubber insulative shoes, right there.

The Rightline does not have a tub so it still gives you access to have stuff in the bed. The ProZ and Napier Sport Z have tubs which eliminates that option.

biggest questions I have come up with is other than the Napier Sport Z the other options all seem to be for a 6 foot bed not the short box, but I see a lot of guys still using them so I am assuming it is not a big deal fitment wise?

Yeah, had to put it all in the truck overnight - or use the bear boxes available at some of the camp sites.

I don't camp much so I don't have much to compare it to but I thought it worked pretty well. The wheel wells make it a little awkward to set up but 2 of us fit in there comfortably and I was able to set up and break down pretty quickly by myself.
