I'm here, I've been in Maine for the past week. I'm not sure about the 10th yet. I'll be around, but I might not have the money I need for the parts. I need to get plugs and filters. I'll keep in touch here.

 

where is the meet going on?

 

We've been kicking around the idea of getting a few trucks together and doing service work on them. I think a few people are right near the 30,000 mile service. We are going to try to get together at my house in Conn. but it's not finalized yet. I live about 10 minutes off of Rt. 95, R.I. exit 5, close to Foxwoods.

 

Not too bad of a ride. I'll have to find out once a date is finalized

Spent the week in western Maine. Rangely lakes region. Nice time, we drove right through Wells on the turnpike.

 

Thats a very nice place to go. Used to go there once a year when I would go to my house in Eustis.

 

Oh yea, I remember talking to you about Eustis in here a while back. I was there last week, posted a pic in TW live...

I know Rangely Lake very well. I go snowmobiling there every year. If you were in Rangley did you happen to hit up Sarges? Hope you had a good time. I need to go there sometime in the summer and see what its like then. Please let us know abut the 10th.

 

Didn't get to Sarges, but had pizza at the Red Onion and BBQ at a place called The Shack. I've got to price out what I need to buy and then check my account on Tuesday. Times are a little tough, I'm unemployed right now. I'll post Tuesday and let you know what's going on.

 

Red Onion has wicked good food. Do they still have the Road Kill Cafe?

 

Road Kill is gone, there is a place called Parkside & Main in the building now. Sports bar with good food.

 

Oh alright. I'll have to check it out sometime.

 

The Red Onion is good. I've been there a few times. Breakfast is good at Moosely Bagels and the other place on the side street that I can't remember the name of. When I go away it's all about the food. Have a good 4th to all of you.

 

Moosely Bagels has the best home fries I've ever had! The other place is BMC diner, run by Bald Mountain Camp. I haven't been there in a few years. I've been going to Rangely for about 30 years now. It's changed a lot over the years but still one of my favorite spots to go in the summertime. When I first went there the road in (RT. 17 I think) was a gravel road! It's starting to get a little "touristy" now, but drive 2 minutes out of town and it's nothing but woods. The people that run the businesses there are great. Phone lines went out while I was there, so I couldn't get cash from the ATM. The owner of Moosely Bagels gave me some cash out of the register to get me by, she offered, I didn't ask. You won't find that in too many other places. I stopped on my way out of town to pay them back, with interest!
