Of course your right  that is what happens when I try to multitask at my age LOL.

It was 30 below when I took that shot from the sled. I use a Think Tank Digital Holster with chemical hand warmer on the LCD screen to keep it from locking up from the cold.

At 40 below the news people start talking gibberish about how it is now supposedly as cold as the surface of Mars

Before I had a water sealed body I would use ziplock bags or any sturdy bag that I would put over the camera from the back and wrap around the edge of the lens. Then I'd hold the bag to the lens with rubber bands. Not sure any still exist but this only works with lenses that don't rotate. On the one's that extend just make sure there is enough room for it to move if you zoom.

That also make a bag you can close the camera in with clear glass for the lens.

I typically shoot on a fixed 35mm so no zoom. Just the focus which isn’t a huge portion. May try this out since it’s been raining all day. Would make for some nice sunset shots tonight

I don’t have any gallon sized bags to fit the camera  Luckily just a light drizzle. Hoping I can get one or two before the heavy stuff starts
