    I heard that Smart said the play was there. I think he said he knows Bama’s punt formations and had Nauta uncovered. It was supposed to be a pass play to him. But they took too long to snap it and by that time Bama spotted it and covered Nauta. Then Fields panicked and ran it. But I’m with you, why not be ready for a time out?

    I know we still may not have won, but imo the failed fake definitely lost it for us. Still mad about that. As hot as Fromm was I’d had rather taken my chances with ot.

    Yeah he said Swift was uncovered but then they spotted him and covered him. Have to be ready to call timeout, especially when Bama still has the defensive unit on the field and not even the normal punt team. I have heard all the possibilities and arguments and going for it outright with Fromm, etc... on the radio and in print this week, but I don't care what anyone says, you have to punt there, not even go for it, especially with Bama's field goal issues.
