I figured, most folks don't recommend turning flywheels like brake rotors.

Spinny cutty thing spins evenly and makes cool looking cuts. Chinese ones dont

Same.. sliders, winch and skids coming right up

 

How can you get all that for 1k? Tell me your sorcery

 

I think I’m gonna do sliders and then skids on the new truck, then get my Kings rebuilt if they aren’t sold, and then see.

But right now I’m broke so.

Yeah, flywheels should always be ground with a stone in my book with an application specific grinder, surface grinder won't do especially for stepped flywheels. Some people do turn flywheels on a brake lathe though. We never did, we always sent flywheels out to get ground, doesn't cost much anyway & not worth turning ourselves in the brake lathe.

 

Locally fabbed sliders, shittybuilt winch, and idk I'll figure the skids out

 

Skip the shittybuilt and save some bucks with a superwinch LP8500, can get em for less than $250 on sale all the time

 

I heard superwinch is the way to go

 

Sliders aren't that expensive.
