    So really if you fix the head gasket issues of a 3.0 there shouldn't be anything wrong with them? Just not as powerful or efficient as a 3.4

    Yeah I've heard that too, just curious if a truck still had a decent 3.0, everybody talks about them like they are an absolute grenade and I doubt it's as bad as the internet makes it out to be

    Arnt they like super under powered for a v6? Like basically 2.7 i4 power. Idk much about them.

    the original 5vzs had headgasket issues too. but toyota introduced the MLS head gasket pretty soon after the release and now we have a very reliable engine..

    if you put MLS headgaskets on a 3.0 yes it would be pretty rock solid

    Yeah, I wanna say 145 horse off the top of my head. Gotta think they were going up against the 120ish of the 22re, so for the mid late 80's that wasn't bad

    honestly if you ever had issues with a 3.0 a 3.4 swap is bolt in and some wiring. gives alot more power and well.. yea more power

    Is a 3.0 to 3.4 swap easier then 22re to RZ? I think they all bolt up but as far as wiring and other stuff too?

    I got to drive a single cab pickup that went from 3.slow to 3.4 with supercharger and 7th.... WOW. The lighter body and power was insane.
