I’d like to get one of the aluminum tri-fold bed covers fir my 2014 Tacoma but all of them say cannot be used with the factory installed bed rail system in my truck. Anyone know if those covers will work by simply removing the couple of screws and taking out the rail system?

When you say aluminum did you mean aluminum frame soft cover? I have a Gator tri fold pro on my 2014, 6 foot bed Tacoma. It attaches to the bed rails. The only thing with the Gator tri fold pro is I had to to add a 1 inch spacer to the front threaded rod between the hook and wing nut in order to turn the wing nut. The spacer was an extra from wall mounted TV kit.

I’m actually looking to get one of the tri-folds that I think are all aluminum panels but want to avoid having to return anything ordered online. I like that you were able to connect your to the rail itself. Good stuff! Many thanks!

Those are nice. Big price difference in the $350 ones on eBay though I’m sure the tonneau’s are worth it. Thanks!

    Must be aluminum?
Solid fold 2.0 works with the rails, I have the Toyota bed devider under mine that attaches to the rail system.

Did you watch a video of the installation of the cover you want?

If its not compatible with the rail system I was under the impression that means you have to drill holes into your bed to install brackets not that you have to remove the factory rail system to install it.

I got my Bakflip on Craigslist for $300 and I wouldn't have any other tonneau.
