Headers anyone?

I've been thinking of headers lately for my v6.. anyone done a set? Any suggestions on types? lets see some pictures! =)

have you noticed an improvement after doing the switch?

 

i did notice an improvement...im not sure how much though...
The ones that will get you the most power are "long tube" headers. I dont think the long tube headers are smog legal here in California though. If you want the most power increase, go with the long tube headers and just change them out when you have a smog check...

Just for our information I asked my dad (an oakland police officer) about if certain headers can be legal or not, his response:


Any after-market part you put on the engine needs a C.A.R.B. number. On the Honda Louie and I just rebuilt, we put an after-market air cleaner on the engine. Stamped right on the cleaner is the C.A.R.B. number as was the C.A.R.B. number stamped on the exhaust header. The smog guy punched both those numbers into the computer before he put the Honda on the dyno for the smog test.

If the headers you are looking at have a C.A.R.B. number, they are legal. (Oh, C.A.R.B. stands for California Air Resources Board). The number will be stamped on the part so it can be read by the smog tech.

the jbas are carb legal, the DTLT are not
