So far....this has worked out for me....I don't ask for raises. I TELL my boss just what I expect. Of course, it helps when your boss has a keen understanding that in order for him to do his job properly, he cannot function without my assistance. (Which is true) After a few years with each new boss I've had to deal with, they always see my way of thinking. Even ex boss (Asshat) gave me raises.

Jan 2nd, I'll have been here 29 years to the day. I make 6-1/2 times what I started out with for salary. 2 years ago, no one else here was approved for a raise. I got 5%.

Just make yourself valuable and remind them just how much they need you.

Helps if you can quantify how much you're worth. Save them money OR make them money. Hard to say no to that. My nickname with the past 4 managers is "Found Money".

    Getting raises is an art.

As of this moment, I'm 4th on the depth chart, but I'm the highest paid employee here. More than my boss. That didn't just happen. Had to force the issue a few times.

ANOTHER day of endless rain. We just got home from a low grade water rescue. (Inlaw backed into ditch full of rainwater)

Plum forgot about on board air. May play hookie monday and get that done.

Picking up FJ front seats today! Just need tires and license plate. Sandy will be driving it to work very soon. May see what the cost is to re-cover front seats in Tacoma.

One of our members just caught a couple guys going through cars in our parking lot. My truck was next in line. It is (and was) locked.

Parking for 330 cars. Clubhouse on one side. Police station and city hall on other side. (Our parking lot) Popo loves showing off right in front of their station.

People who mess with us regret it.

    And we laughed.

Lost another good one this morning. Known Bill for 42 years. He partied everyone under the table in the drinking every minute phase. Fortunately we got over that.

He has a wife and a 32 year old daughter. He could make a small block chevy sing.

Me and him drank 6 cased of cheap beer in 24 hours. A lllooooooonnnng time ago.

    Pancreatic cancer got him.

    Burial Saturday. Btw. Military honors.

And one of those people you could always depend on.

This gave me chills. My best friend dad told us when we were young true friends "the ones you can count on at any given moment are hard to come by". You need to cherish a true friend and by the sounds of it you did Bill.My condolences and sorry for your loss.

Bought an ARB onboard air system. It was internally bypassing....ie running, but not creating any pressure. Battled with ARB directly and 4WP's to attempt to rectify the situation. No love. ARB did agree to refund my money after a few terse conversations.

So...Viair 400P on the way. Should be here Tuesday. No more CO2 tanks, roughly 35lbs less weight and a much smaller space required. May mount under hood. May remain in carrying bag. Not sure. Too many alternative uses to keep it bolted to the fender well....
