I agree! Even though there is a driver in that vehicle, he should be heavily fined and or towed. Fuck him! I think those are like $500 fines and he should get it.

I'm not sure if this is Asshole Parking or some sort of "rarely seen in the wild" Toyota mating ritual...

(Narrator voice: "see how the Sienna displays its floral magistry to draw the Tacoma to its power-sliding side door..." )

If they do it every day, beat them to the left side first. Teach them lessons.

I've been contemplating trying to wedge my truck in there. I think it'll fit with the mirrors folded, might have to crawl out the window though lol

It just came to my attention that there's this awesome response out there to asshole parking, where you draw chalk lines on either side of the asshole parked car, like parking space boundaries, and then write "asshole parking" between the lines. Anyone seen that? Wonder if anyone's posted photos of that here.

If it was me, I'd definitely try and back up in. Should be able to manage. fold mirrors, of course. But least you wouldn't have to crawl out a window!

Yeah, assholes who do this in the parking spaces up close to the building deserve everyone's scorn. I'm the guy that parks diagonally across two spaces WAY TH' FUCK OUT THERE WHERE NOBODY ELSE WANTS TO PARK. Few vehicles are blessed with sliders to be able to ward off the inconsiderate assholes who think nothing of kicking their door open and putting a door ding in someone else's vehicle. So the only defense you have available to you is to PARK WAY TH' FUCK OUT THERE AND PARK DIAGONALLY SO AS TO THWART THE VINDICTIVE ASSHOLE WHO WOULD PARK WAY OUT THERE BESIDE YOU ONLY TO FUCK WITH YOU ANYWAY (like some in this thread have said they would do. More on that later.)

And what are you going to do, whip their ass over dinging your car? No. You're going to go home and carry the result of their thoughtlessness on the side of your car for the rest of the time you own it, and think about how you'd have liked to kick their ass but wouldn't have (even if you had the chance) every time you see that ding. IT'S YOUR FAULT, because you parked in the narrow stripes the businesses are painting these days. You let conformity control you and caved to society's unwritten laws. If you can think outside the box you can also exercise your free-will to park outside the box too! It is your responsibility to protect your vehicle from these people, not theirs. And consider...what vanity drives you to need to find the closest parking place to the door anyway?
    .
My bank. CashCard machine. Two parking spaces in front of it with curbs running down the sides of the spaces to hem you into them. Too-NARROW of two parking spaces. I'm at the machine and a woman pulls up behind my little 2007 Ranger in her F250 PowerStroke, sits there, diesel clattering, and glares at me, too long, for effect. And I glare right back at her. To the left there are four empty spaces within 20 feet of these two I am occupying, and two more on the right within 30 feet, both of those handicapped parking. In fact there are nine spaces total on this side of the small bank, and I am occupying only two of them. She backs up and parks ACROSS the two on the right, both handicapped spaces, driving offensively, backing up fast and lurching forward in such a way so as to telegraph with all certainty that she is pissed. With her little handicapped tag hanging from the mirror. She easily dismounts out of her jacked-up, needlessly still-clattering too loud diesel FWD, and comes right up to me confrontationally, "You're parked across two spaces and it prevented me from getting in the space I wanted. Why would you do that?" Real sense of entitlement in her tenor. Not nice, but with a tone that tells me that she is use to running her man, and getting what she wants with intimidation. She wants to project that upon me. Me, ready for her: I have been wearing the scorn of people for decades for parking in two places ever since that woman in the Eldorado swung that door open on my first new truck out of college not two weeks old and dented it. But I park where nobody else wants to park: way out there, or on the top of the parking garage. Still, others have broached the subject, and I have responded. So the talk-track response has been etched into my memory from repetition. None have been indignant. Until her: "Because you would have parked that too big of truck in a too small of space, closer to my truck than I would want you to, and might have opened your door as you did just then, and if you had it would have hit my truck. So I am not going to entrust the responsibility of caring for my truck to you, because you care nothing about my truck. I must be proactive in protecting my truck. It is my responsibility to take care of it, not yours, and if that means taking up two places for thirty seconds then that is what I am going to do. My alternative is to let you park there and ding my truck. What am I going to do then? Whip a woman's ass? No, of course not. I see your handicapped tag. You are handicapped, supposedly, and had to walk an additional 30 feet to get to the cash card machine. But you dismounted a jacked up truck with ease, a truck that YOU ALSO parked across two spaces, and those are handicapped spaces. So, between the two of us, who retains the moral high ground here? She was the type of woman that my reasoning did nothing to curb her indignance. She was use to winning even when she was wrong, because some man lets her, but she had nothing with which to reply. To her credit.

As for the fine gentlemen on here who wanna teach somebody a lesson for parking across two parking places up close to the building: Sometimes it is better to just walk away and forget it. Karma is a bitch. Not very smart. You have a license plate on your truck. People much more intimidating and incendiary than you can find out who you are, where you live. For what you put at risk, its not worth teaching them a lesson. (My God, I have become my father, haven't I?) Let it go. They will get their's. Besides, you're on camera anyway.
