I just used mine as well. Made some brackets for these bed bars that are compatible with a bed cover. Can’t beat the repeatability of the press brake with the adjustable back stop.

I absolutely love it. I’m making brackets out of 3/16 for everything now. I got the heavy duty finger brake so I can bend 3/16 the full length of the brake. Worth the extra money for sure.

I've been looking at that brake as well.

    Which press are you using?

I use the harbor freight 20ton and its works just fine. I did swap the bottle jack out for the 20ton Air jack which is quite a nice upgrade. Not just for bending but for bearings and stuff too

25% off this weekend if memory serves me right. The air jack isnt totaly needed. But does make it nice. But can always add it down the line. I mostly only use it to bring the ram portion to the part and then still press in by hand

19F807B4-DF35-408C-B248-EEB1F4C8DFE1.jpg This ever happen to anyone? This is a lincoln spool of wire. Looks like it was wound funky. Keeps stopping the wire from feeding.

When it reaches a point in the spool like this the drive rolls slip and strain and i have to go free the wire from itself before i can continue

I think the wire is fed/looped under another one in that roll. You might have to see if you can find where and undo it.

Yeah, keeps happening when it gets to either edge of the roll. Might just have to get another roll.

It could have possibly happened when installing that roll when it was brand new. The end of the wire could have slipped unnoticed under itself. (if that makes sense)

I had to toss an almost brand new 44 lbs spool in the scrap pile because of this. Very frustrating when it happens.

I'll try freeing the issue 3 times. If it binds up the next time, in the trash it goes.

    It happens quite often!! .

Good Job spotting it so fast most blame the welding machine or feeder.

If you still have the receipt take it back

Only if the wire fell off a truck should you toss it out return it for credit.

I see pallets of wire being returned very seldom does one spool have issues .

So, the spool comes like that from the factory? I'm going to keep an eye on this when it's time for a new spool.

I was able to untangle it, cut off about 10ft of wire and finish the spool. Turns out it was almost empty.

Thanks for all the help though!
