they are great, theres an old dodge bodied ultra 4 that ran their huge canoe links and they bent and got trashed, runs the URC arms now and has zero problems with them. They are killer

NO the Ruffstuff links will not work on a second or third gen taco the length vs CO mounting point are all wrong. This same issue holds true for every generic pre fab link I have seen. If you are going to buy pre fab links go with taco specific links IE: Solo or as someone else mentioned the complete 3 link kit from @dirt designs he has really dialed in the geometry amazingly well. I am going to mod my pan hard to match his design as I made a mild mis calculation in my design...nothing wrong really just that DD dialed in the pan hard positioning so well that from full bump to droop his kit only has 3/4” of lateral sway.

about the lateral sway - I only noticed it for the first week, it’s no big deal at all compared to the massive benefits gained IMO

...it’s actually just a well positioned 12” CO. We crawled under the truck with rulers, tape measures, string etc for a few days mocking it up and laughed when we realized it would still pull 18-20” with the CO’s under the bed. All said and done right at 20” bumped and strapped. Front link pivot is on the side of the frame and it bumps at the bottom of the frame.

You can kinda make out the angle of the dangles in this pic. The one admitted real pain in the ass with links is that you need massive jacks stands to be able to droop the fahka out in the garage...

Most pre fabbed general 55" links work with access cab trucks...the double cabs tho is a different story.

They all mount outside the framerail.. I had to do some magic to the rear body mount to get 14" of bump travel with a 54" link I designed.

If keeping the bed if u dont mind goin to a fuel cell u can 4 link it or 3 link wishbone....theres enough room without the gas tank in the way.

What I meant was the pivot is above the bottom of the frame rail. IE: Solo’s link mounts go to the side of the frame rail but hang below it, Trac’s hung low too.

Yea I see...they do that to get a better antisquat value. More in the 45-50% range, without doing that there isn't enough vertical real estate on the Tacomas to get that value...if urs is higher I'd venture to guess your more in the 70-80% range

Anybody have thoughts or feedback on greasing poly bushings with Superlube w/ PTFE, Lucas Marine, or Lucas Red&Tacky?

Seems like there is no concensus, and some places say use lithium based, some say use silicon based.

After extensive *online* research it turned out no matter what you use, it should be good.

I had high temp gear grease on my 2nd gen LCA's when I had a kit on there, no issues.

Yeah, that's pretty much the conclusion I arrived at. Also seems like the ONE car thing that nobody even has a strong opinion on.

I think it doesn't matter as long as its not petroleum based you're good. However I have had much better luck with black moly lithium based grease than anything else as it is not squeaky and never gets squeaky.

I've heard the same, but man is it tricky to hunt down locally. I can find it in the toothpaste tubes, but not in a cartridge.

I'll keep an eye out for it. Any particular store you get it from?

OK, I saw that stuff at the store this AM. I'm looking for one of the 14oz cartridges for a grease gun though.

Edit: As luck would have it, our MSC Industrial rep just walked through the door. He's gonna drop off a tube for me on Monday.
