Where are the silencers located? I removed the black box that was connected to the main intake hose but when i started my truck the motor shut off so i put it back on and it ran fine. can someone tell me what i did wrong or what else i need to do?

Pics would help here... but if you did remove the silencer box you need to plug the hole it leaves in the intake. I used a PVC cap. There's pics of everything in my build thread linked in my sig

Well... it silences the intake :) I can't really give you a technical lesson on it but if you remove it it makes your truck louder

I'm pretty sure the 2.7 is the same as the 2.4 but I know the V6 is different. Here's mine
