Here are my wife's sheep and my sheep from last year. Sorry if I posted these earlier in this thread. I dont feel like going back through and checking. Again, Tacoma was present for both.IMG_20171121_204118_570.jpg IMG_20171126_214836_987.jpg

Thanks! It's my shorty 870 build. 1964 Wingmaster Magnum receiver and 14" Remington Police barrel. Refinished the wood and put a limbsaver on there. I won't shoot it without hearing protection.

Federal Vital Shok 9 pellet 00 buck with the flight control wad flattened it at 40 yards. 7 pellets through the boiler, one in the loin, and one in the front shoulder.

I thought they were pretty strict on guns in Canada?

The laws are stricter, the only exception is shorty shotguns.

Shotguns have to be 26" or longer total length to be non restricted and legal for hunting. Barrels have to be 12" or longer for hunting.

Buckshot for deer has to be #1 buck or larger and have a minimum of 8 pellets.

You just need an unrestricted firearms license. That's it. What every hunter has.

There are some limitations. You can't cut a barrel down shorter than 18.5" but you can use any factory barrel including 18", 14",12" and 8.5".

As long as the finished shotgun is longer than 26" total it can be used for hunting and camp defence. If it's shorter than 26" it has to be registered with the RCMP. You can't hunt with it or take it into the bush. Only to an approved range. And their are strict transport requirements. (Trigger locked, locked in hardcase)

    Dumb I know.

Had a good hunting season this year. Hardly any snow though, which sucks. Warm and raining on December 18! Got meat in the freezer though. Beaverhead buck 2018.jpg Taco and elk.jpg

Just got my European mount back. Very happy with how it came out.
