Just because something still exists in the Midwest doesn't mean it's not way out of date/fashion ;)

All are vented, they have to be, or the wind would just rip them off! I like the rounded types that follow the contour of the roof-line of the truck they are mounted to rather than the more boxy "channeled" varieties.

Yep, we midwesterners have a bad habit of hanging on to things and ideas that work rather than following the me-too's! And when the ground moves too much (earthquakes/mudslides) or shit burns up all the time, we MOVE!

Sorry sir; I will stay on-thread from now on, and look for one of the rounded examples.

In another life, I used to run a truck fleet, and I have purchased and installed a LOT of those visors! My guys hated driving a rig without one. If you get the right one, and mount it correctly, there isn't any wind noise or leaks.

But mounting a roof/sun visor is more difficult now because truck (and car) bodies are made a lot differently now (that black rubber seam on your roof=body sides), and most vehicles don't have rain gutters anymore either, and windshields almost touch your doorframes now, so they are difficult to mount easily. I will bet a good body man could fab a good one that would compliment a gen 1 perfectly.

I'll get this part covered with mounting. I'm needing style help so I'm spot on with complementing the truck. There are many styles

Oh I know, I was born in Missouri and grew up in Texas. Only reason I can make fun of the Midwest with confidence ;)

    Edit: Sorry again OP, lol

We only see those on F250's near reserves in my parts. I would never consider installing one.

I believe they only serve as a sunshade.

In the Midwest people will drag their balls through broken glass and sticker bushes to go look at a Pontiac Grand Am with a ripped bumper cover in a parking lot at a bowling alley and seal the deal over a few Hamms. The wife typically a Jessica or a Shannon will be excited about her new wheels. Well until Chet decides to take it down a section line at a 105MPH and finish ripping the bumper cover off.
