    When you get your new intake installed please share if getting to the oil dipstick is a pain. Even with my current afe the smog hose pump goes right over the oil stick so you just have to pull it out at an angle. But I was looking at the afe pics of the new intake and it looked like it might be even more difficult to reach the dipstick.

    Thanks for the headlight bulb comparison, by the way. I have some OSRAM H4 on the way from Powerbulbs in the UK.

    I was guessing but near freezing and dry. It's often more humid here. Problem seems the same. I wonder if I relocated the maf sensor closer to the tb if that would help? I have sectioned my intake pipe so it's as easy as a few hose clamps.

    You're going to love those bulbs. @crashnburn80 hooked me up with the wiring harness for mine. Low beams are like diving with a street light constantly in front of the truck. High beams singe the paint on street signs.

    Yeah, the high beam on that setup is equivalent to HIDs in lumen output.

    Today was 45 degrees, 90% humidity, and elevation was 331 feet.

    Also saw just about 10 psi on the 'ol mechanical boosty gauge.

    VERY nice info! Well done Wizard! 30hp is a HUGE difference from just a filter! As you also pointed out, the inlet restriction creates a low pressure (vacuum) before the rotors so the sc consumes more power (parasitic loss) as it's trying to make power. I have said this for quite a long time and people thought I was on :rasta:.


    This is why at some point I want to hack off the sc inlet elbow and do a custom sc intake with TB and filter on the drivers side for a much more direct path.
    This is most likely your limitation now @Athlaos. You are at a point now where inlet flow is choking the sc so all the extra power the sc is making is being used by the sc to overcome intake restriction.

    I dont remember if you port matched the sc, ported lower intake plenum, larger tb, etc?

    Roger that. I did clean it up though. I couldn't believe how built up the muck was in there. It was bad.

    Sooooooooo here I am thinking I should probably replace my SC drive belt, but every time I glance at it, it looks fine, very very minimal cracking here and there, a little dry, I'll order another spare soon (have a spare already under my seat JIC)...was chatting with my boss today about the spark plugs, popped the hood to show him what a bitch the drivers side is, and just happened to look down at the belt and noticed the entire section I'm looking at is like cracked about every 1/4" or so. It looks intended (obviously not). So I flip a portion of it over where I can for a quick looksieOMG THERES RIBS MISSING. So, who's got two thumbs and also replacing his drive belts next week...this guy.

    It's weird too, I've noticed zero slippage, boost looks normal, I even test pull every team I drive it, with a long and hard (that's what she said) 4th gear pull just to see if anything feels off or weird. Guess everything would have been fine right up until the belt snapped on a hard pull. Ouch.
