Hey, so I just ordered a pair of the SPYDER headlights from TACOMABEAST and it says that the headlights don't support LEDs, it will void the warranty... I've seen multiple people swap the halogens out for some LED's. I am wondering why they "DON'T SUPPORT HID/LED BULBS"? The output absolutely sucks on the halogens and I want to switch them to LEDS but I am scared that it will ruin the headlights. Thanks

I'm not sure, but I hope so. Karma for willfully blinding other drivers.

no cause LEDs do not heat up as much as halogens, but LEDs are not DOT certified to run in headlight housings designed for halogens and u will blind oncoming drivers with the unfocused LED beams

The headlights I bought were the ones with projectors.

You can run LEDs with those lights. They tell you not to because it voids the warranty if you modify the rubber cover on the back of the bulb. There is a thread here where someone put LEDs in the spyders. However the LEDs dont line up correctly and gives a horrible beam and is worse than the halogen lights. This is with the spyder projector lights, at least the new style with the big led tube
