Hey, thanks I could have used the cold weather gloves tonight, the yellow gloves don't have that thermal knitting. I was outside for a while and started losing feeling in my fingers with the wind chill. I will be going to HF tomorrow so will bring that coupon with me.

I got a set of those on my truck! Got the 3 inch spot lights installed. They look amazing and seem to be of a decent quality. I have heard bad things about some of the "premium" brands leaking, so far these haven't leaked after several heavy rains and heavy snow.

Haven't wired them up yet...they come with quick disconnects which are nice since I am using them as ditch lights. I will post pictures once they are wired.

Here is a pic of them mounted:

Standard wiring is nice, I took a look at it in a Harbor Freight last week. I don't remember if it comes with a relay or not...

With regards to quality and safety, it seems no different than half the s*** on Amazon everyone buys.

Wonder if you can get a warranty with it and just change it out when it gets condensation- would be better than than Amazon stuff if so

You could, but for $40 I would just replace. Compared to a set of Cali Raised or Rigids, that ain't NOTHIN' lol.

HF is good about their tool warranty, automotive LED's? My gut tells me they will pull some shenanigans for those. Just a hunch.

These are the ones I used. The picture they have is completely wrong. The ones they send are cowl mounted ones. Follow the Youtube video from Rago Fabrication and you should be fine.

Also, the paint they used was chipped bad when I got them...I hit them with some primer and rubberized under coating to survive the harsh Chicago winters.

Oh there will be some mods all right
I took a chance and bought a Milwaukee 1/2" impact early this year. Loved it so much I bought the 3/8" impact and just recently bought a drill too. I agree they're worth a shot.

Thanks. I like the sound of that, but the prices for good 20v stuff (HF or other brands) is just not worth it to me.

Do they have gaskets on the lenses? I know some of the Chinese LEDs that have been coming in don't (or didn't) and they end up getting condensation in them. Folks were opening them up, running a small bead of silicon and sealing them back. I actually looked at them yesterday as well but didn't have a coupon for them; not that I need them. Just a quick look and they seem like most of the other Chinese lights out there. I pulled the wiring harness out of the box as well but now I can't remember if it had a relay on it either. I want to say it was like $24 and had an adapter harness so you could use it for a single bar or dual lights.

Christmas is the time to buy them- Home Depot has a DeWalt 20v drill w/ two batteries and charger for $100. Two batteries will cost you that. There are several other special package deals as well including impact drivers, reciprocating saws, etc.

I've got six 18V DeWalt batteries that need rebuilding/replacement and for the price of two batteries I can buy a new 20V drill with the brushless motor that comes with the batteries/charger. A $25 adapter will allow me to use the 20V batteries in my older 18V tools. Having two cordless drills or a cordless drill and impact driver on hand is really convenient since you can leave a drill bit in one and a screwdriver bit in the other.

Can also confirm how great modern electric lithium tools are. My father is a general contractor and has a complete set of Makita and Milwaukee tools. Personally I jumped on the DeWalt stuff because of how cheap I was able to find it.

I think the Makita or Milwaukee stuff overall might be a bit better than the Dewalt lineup but at a significantly cheaper price I’m happy with the dewalt lineup.

Keep an eye out of eBay and also your local Craigslist for cheap deals on often brand new tools.

I have a brushless drill and impact driver, multi tool, grinder, sawzall, and recently just picked up a 1/2” impact for more automotive related work.

Looks like I need a new jack. What’s the best way to buy the HF 3 ton aluminum floor jack. Are there coupons? For some reason I thought jacks were excluded.

Wait... back up here. There is an adapter 20v to 18v for Dewalt? Why has no one told me before? I have saws, drills, screwdrivers, flashlights... all 18v.
So I just need one of these: https://www.amazon.com/DEWALT-DCA1820-Dewalt-Battery-Adapter/dp/B016K1UD0E ?

Edit: The screwdrivers are not 18v.
