Short bed covers

What cover is everyone using? I like the idea of a soft roll up so I can get full access of the bed if need be. Can anyone reccomend a somewhat cheap and reliable cover?

 

I really like the diamond back HD cover but inexpensive...it is not.

Just had a truxedo lo pro tonneau installed last week, liking it so far, but on the pricier side.

 

I like my extang solid fold 2.0

 

I had the OEM tri-fold soft top thrown in, when I bought my Taco. I like how easy I can remove it and can even throw it on the back seat, If I have to throw in a load.

I have no need for a hard top

 

Iike the ones where they are really flushed with the bed and not so sticking out.

 

The bacflip tonneau are flush but they don’t fold flat and can’t be removed easily.

 

This works great. rolls up tight and over front rail to give u full bed. easy install. used below zero and thru several summers on 2 diff trucks. Tri folds will not give u full bed access unless removed.

Every yota tri fold I saw leaked like a sieve.

Love my Undercover Ultra Flex, sits flush, looks great and adds a bit of security when I lock my tailgate. It doesn’t fit the cheap requirement in your OP though. Oh nd it’s easy to remove if needed but I have had the same cover on 3 trucks and never needed to remove one yet.

 

I got the trifold tonneau cover from the factory. It was already on the vehicle so I didn't have a choice but I really like it. It makes the vehicle look a lot better in my opinion and it is very functional. I also like how I can fold it over twice and lock it in place so it doesn't flap around.

 

I've got a Truxedo hard roll-up. It's not cheap, but did what I wanted.

 

ever leak when it rains?

 

I am using a undercover se . I have had it 2 weeks and so far no leaks and it’s water tight . I wanted a one piece hard cover . So I guess it’s up to what type of cover you want and what you plan to haul or use your bed .

A little where the tailgate is, but it's not too bad. I heard that if you close the gate first then lower the cover or vice versa it stops the leaking but I haven't tried it yet. I get a lot of rain where I live so I am sure I'll figure it out eventually.

 

My 2016 TRD Access has a Truck Gear (Line-X) soft roll-up. It came with the (used) truck and I really like it so far. The material seems as thick, yet more pliable than my previous TruXedo TruXport covers. Rolls up smooth and seems stable. It unhinges with the pull of a single cord in the center. Whereas my Truxedos require unlatching both corners. My previous Truxedo covers were on a Dakota and cost around $300 a pop. These Truck Gears list for $540 but can be found online for a lot less. My 1st Truxedo lasted about 6 years before the velcro got weak and the cover ripped from flapping in the wind.

 

I have the Gator Hybrid Tri-Folding cover and really like it a a lot.
