You'll have to do a little homework. Those are not developed....no water, sewer or power. The one surrounded by BLM is enticing but it would.be worth talking to that field office or going to their website and see how they are managing it....mineral, recreational, what routes are there, etc. If there's a lot of trails you may have problems with trespassing. Utv/atvers think they are entitled to everything and anywhere they want to go. The small one could be a nice flat or the side of a hill. For $600 who knows? But since it's only 1.25 acres it could be a subdivided lot. There's some of that east of here....think "big trailer park". Still may be some redeeming value, but homework is in order.

I seen one that said "alternative energy". Probably not a power pole within a few miles and would cost a bit. Off the grid solar is an option but takes quite a bit of lifestyle changes to get use to.

Part of my medical insurance is a free ride in a medical aircraft back to Mayo Clinic, from any place in the world. One benefit I really hope that I never have to use...

There is 4 not 3 for you, I and a number of others on here. Add in retired military income. Damn Mn. hits you on all 4.

Because, well bacon. And bacon grease.

BEFORE ketchup, for those faint of heart.

    bacon plated.jpg

Ready to work outside now. Screw that shit cup of coffee and cigar, play with the dog outside and then take a nap. With every joint in the body hurting I'm not setting the bar very high for myself lately. Hopefully greasing them all with bacon grease from the inside will help. Not going to run that one by the doc though LOL.

Mostly likely. No known issue or injury. Just got up that way the other morning. Blamed it on the missus.

That's going to be an expensive recovery for the company that owns the truck they'll need to offload the gravel /dirt in the box before they can upright it

If they use a Rotator it's going to be $$$$$$$

This was about an hour north east of me near the NC line, in Gaffney. I'll see if it's covered on the evening news.

Enough playing with the radio. I can turn the knobs only so many times.. lol.
So a year of thinking and procrastinating I decided I’d do this project.
Most Generators are wide open throttle at rest then gov takes over when starting.
The problem is on extremely cold weather atomized fuel is hard to create without good vacume and with throttle open there is no vacume to suck in enough fuel.
So I decided to make things a little easier to fire this baby over.
    Enter my solution.
A injection port for getting starting fluid to the carb without having to remove the gen from the box and remove the air cleaner.

    Quite simple.

    Here is the victim.
    AFA38DFC-4368-4137-B010-CCF1CA7E7089.jpg

Removing the cover and air cleaner. Measuring for left 1/3 of the carb as this side has the choke blade rotating in which will help guide the spray instead of dispersing with a smaller opening on the right.

Drilling and inserting chain saw fuel line. Drill size smaller for interference fit

Measuring and drilling the air box cover. Drill side slightly larger for easy insertion and securing cover.

It does work. No fuel in the tank. One shot down the “injection port”. Fired right off.

    I’m done for the day...

That my friend is pure genius, I just keep my starting fluid on my generator cart. There is a Modification in my generators future. Do I need to pay any royalties, wanna be on the up and up.
